The curriculum is now changed because of the NEP system. In earlier times ug students had to read just 3/4 subjects but now as a ug student we have to learn about 7 subjects.arts' students can take the science's subjects as well as science's students can also take the art's subjects.it creates sometimes an inconvenience maximum in art's students.the exams held frequently.the semester which have to end by 6 months,it ends in 4 or 4½ months by helding 3 exams.

Our university provides a good internship opportunities. basically the PhD scholars of our university gets much more valuable internship opportunities.also the masters level students of different departments like mass communication and journalism, botany, zoology, mathematics, chemistry etc gets very good and valuable internship opportunities which will help them in their future life.

In gauhati University as a ug student we have to pay 14500 per semester which includes tuition fees, library fess and examination fees. We have to pay 8000 Tuition fees,2000 library fees and 2500 examination fees. Gauhati university also provides many scholarship to help the students to continue their education who are economically weak.

In September 9th,2024 there was a general freshers party for all the new comers of gauhati University.from 4 pm to 1 am there was inter hostel and inter department mr. and miss. Freshers competition.the competition was good but the tim management was so bad.because till 1 am only attending this competition is not so interesting.also in November 1-5 there was a youth festival where students of various affiliated colleges came to our university,stayed on our hostels and participates on various types of competitions.after ending the competitions there was cultural night on 5th November where a famous singer of assam dikshu sharma came and that night went good.

I applied for assamese department in cotton university.I got seat there but I chose gauhati University over Cotton University because cotton university doesn't have any proper campus.i always wanted a campus life which i will get from gauhati University.as well as many family members of mine read in gauhati University so gauhati University attracts me more than cotton university.also i heard that the course curriculum and tha faculty members of Asaamese in gauhati University are better than cotton university.

Our faculty is so good.the provide good care and learning to us.faculty members serves as a mentor and they guide us how to live in the society.the faculty members train us how to prepare to live in future days.but sometimes they become very strict which gives students a negative impact.

Our university campus is so mesmerizing.after classes we always go vishal shop to have tea or coffee with singra.then we go our favourite adda spot which is the floor in front of BKB auditorium.the environment is so good for the students of University.also the famous senipool for gossips is so good.when it come to point of study then we have a very large library where students go to read and making assignments for their upcoming exams.also the system of our university market is also notable.
