Course Curriculum Overview

4

We usually have a quiz in the first month followed by the mid semester exam in the following month end. The third month will have quiz 2 and the month end we will be given a take home assignment which will be graded equally. The fourth month end will havr the comprehensive exam. The difficulty level of the exams will range from moderate to difficult based on your preparations.

Internships Opportunities

5

We have a unique course called Practice School I and II. In Practice School I you will be spending 56 days in a company learning the basics of your organisation and mostly no stipend will be offered. In Practice School II you will be an intern for 6 months with stipends almost close to Rs. 65000.

Placement Experience

5

The students are eligible for placements in their final year. All the best companies come to recrute students. The best part is the BITS does not allow bus companies to come for campus interviews. The average package for 2023-24 season was around 21 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee will be Rs. 500000 per year with a minimum increase of about 5 percent per year. You will need to pay a one time admission fee of about Rs. 55000 during admission. The fee structure is the same for every course and there will be no management quota. There is merit cum need scholarship and is based on family income and CGPA.

Campus Life

5

We have three main fests. The technical fest is called ATMOS and is usually held in the month of November. The sports frest is called ARENA and is held in the moth of February anf the cultural fest named PEARL is held in the month of April.

Hostel Facilities

4

You get a study table, an almirah and a cot in your room. The mess is pretty decent, however it can start to be boring once you come to campus. The hostel is pretty affordale as it costs about 50k per year. The mess charges Rs. 135 per day for 4 meals.

Admission

I got a comfirmed admission from AMITY University and I eventually rejected that college because of the brand value of BITS. We have to clear an entrance exam called BITSAT which is the second toughest exam after JEE Advanced. The cutoffs for various courses anre dynamic as it depends on the student preferences over the years.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio in BITS Hyderabad is 170:3000. The faculties offer chamber consultation at anytime with out any prior appointment. The course that are taught and their curriculum are very relavant to today's world.

Interview Experience

5

There was an entrance exam called BITSAT which you need to clear in order to get admission into BITS. The preparation will be time consuming and you need to be quick in problem solving in order to crack the exam

Night Life

5

We have many famous places on campus like RNT, Lovers Lane and Chess Courtyard. These places are among the top hangout places for couples. The hostels have no intime and the wardens are pretty chill .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite relevant and comprehensive offering a balanced combination of theoretical and practical knowledge for learning. This curriculum helps in developing both conceptual clarity and analytical skills and prepare students well for real - world challenges as well as higher academic pursuits. This curriculum is strong and valuable. The frequency and timing of exams are generally reasonable though at times.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is an amazing course. Helps me understand the concept very deeply the curriculum is also really good. Every teacher has their own way of teaching some can improve but it is fine we can try to study and understand by ourselves a bit. When it comes to internals its of 20 marks we have as such three of them for one sem and avg of 10 is taken from it internals are of 1hr and externals will be about 2hrs 30mins and labs of 3hrs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the biotechnology course includes all the relevant topics needed to gain information about the subject. The curriculum also includes currently developing topics of interest which may gain popularity in the future (like bioinformatics). It thoroughly prepares us for real world applications as we gain exposure to various fields of interest in the subject and get a hands-on training in the subject. Ab area i would like to suggest for improvement is to alot equal no. Of periods to different papers in the subject as each topic has its own value in the academic and career purpose. The internals are conducted every month within a duration of 1 hour for each paper. there are currently 4 internals for our batch, each of 10 marks. The externals or the end semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester approx 6 months, which are of 50 marks. 10 marks is alloted for attendance, bringing the total to 1000.
