Likes
- Ours is the youngest of all campuses of Bits Pilani and hence we are growing our own culture here.
- We hardly have to step out as we have more than enough Hangout facilities in campus itself.
- Theres an all night canteen in the campus and therefore if mess food is iffy, we always have the option to go there for meals.
Dislikes
- Alumni network is not so strong and therefore placements are not even half of Bits Pilani.
- Balanced academic life is missing as too many events and either miss out on those or studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
Academics is routinely followed here and thats the best part of our BPHC. E&C ofcourse the second preferred branch after CSE but se are not short of students or the course content to feel inferior to anybody.
Internships Opportunities
Many new age companies are there and Hyderabad being full of that, we have many opportunities like that. Linkedin and all have made life further easy as Birlas tag is enough to find internships in top companies like that.
Placement Experience
Out and put IT companies as Hyderabad is known for that. All the hundreds of IT companies that are in operation here hires us for internships and jobs as well. Computer Science students are the top picks but we are also treated under marquee sets. So, current average students placed at 8-10 lakhs and on and average 8 out of 10 students get placed from here.
Fees and Financial Aid
BITS Hyderabad fees is slightly high as its a private institute and so tuition fees is 6.35 lakhs. 18% is mandatory and then the other stuffs and all combined annual fees becomes close to 7.5 lakhs. Being a privTe owned institute, fees definitely varies for caste quota and all but still it is 5 lakhs for them too. Inspire is the best scholarship offered here as it is based on merit and therefor everyone who is in merit stands eligible for that.
Campus Life
We have four fests divided all around our academic year and in sequence they are Atmos, Arena, Launchpad and Pearl. Tech fest is called Verba Maximum. Our campus is 200 acres long and has every sports facilities like a tennis court, Arena 19 Basket Ball Court, Cricket Ground and indoor badminton courts. From hostels to cafeterias everything is inside the campus. One can experience nature like anything inside the campus as greenery over here is next level.
Hostel Facilities
First year boys gets Valmiki Bhawan as it has two seater rooms. Washrooms are attached and also all rooms are spacious and are air-conditioned as well. It is a residential campus and therfore staying at the campus is mandatory. Food is average nit not terrible but who cares when we an all mighty night canteen to our fore.
Admission
In any Bits Pilani group college, BITSAT is the way to get admissions. Since 99.5 percentile students go to Pilani campus, 98 percentile to Goa and upo 97 percentile students are eligible for BPHC. So, this is how admissions happens and obviously BITS Pilani was the first choice but sadly couldnt go though as with my percentile this was the branch and campus left for me at best.
Faculty
Our faculties havent been brought from BITS Pilani but from the ones who have teaching experiences in MIT and such colleges. So, from their eyes we see a global exposure and also learn the same from them. Dev Prasad sir who happens to be head of our department is certainly the best of them all. Almost 85% students clear all their exams in one shot.
Night Life
Bits and Bytes is obviously the main cafe close to our campus and the other one is everyones favourite Dominos. We can roam in the campus for as long as we want. Charminar and Old Hyderabad is close to our campus and that is where i have hanged out so far.
