BITS PILANI - Its Magic

The course curriculum is comprehensive and relevent and its regularly updated to reflect latest trends and developments in industry. The curriculum give practical knowledge by providing us internship opportunities, project based learning, research opportunites and many more. The areas of improvement includes are basically focus on more english speaking part , communication skills , innovative teaching methods (not the old methods) and regularly updating cource accoring to students feedback also. In bits the frequency and timing of exams are well balanced and continous assesments like tests, midsem , comprehensive exams are there and if a student attends every class and do assignment, questions regularly , no difficulty will be there.

The internship opportunites in bits is very good . As there is not much intake in these type of prestigious colleges , the one who got marks comes in bits as there is no reservation criteria . Hence people get good stipend and internship just they have to maintain there cgpa and have good skills.

The placement is generally good in Bits . Approximately 80-85% candidates gets placed with an avaerage salary of 18 lpa. Also the remaining students who dont apply for placement go for mba or masters in abroad/india.

Tution fees increse 8-10% every year and fees is very high in bits pilani genrally approx 6-7lakhs per year . Scholarships are there for the ones whose parents income is less that 12lpa called MCN and second ones who score generally 9.5+ cgpa.

The campus life of Bits pilani student is excellent . There are 4 fests in our college every year and all are best, especially the cultural fest called Pearl. Regular cultural events including music concerts ,actors enrich the campus atmosphere. Then there are events includong alumini gathering , industry meet and greet and people from diffrent background come together and that vibe is totally fantastic. So BITS provide the ell rounded and nice experience.

The hostels are good at Bits . The cleaing staffs are also good , they work everyday . Facities such as water, hot water , everything is there in hostel . Rooms are also good . The quality of mess food is okayish , not that good but you can eat .

The admission process is through Bitsat exam which is national level exma happens every year . Approx 3-4 lakh candidates fill this form. The difficultly of exams is little bit easier that jee mains because here speed and accuracy both plays an important role as there are total 130 question which needs to be solve in 180 minutes . subjects are physics , chemistry ,maths , english and logical reasoning.

The faculty to student ratio , faculty vredentials , teaching approaches and frequency of interection all contribute to overall effectivness of faculty members . All members and hardworking and devoted to their work . Also smaller class size and class recording on impartus in case student miss that class is boon for him/her. The environment iis very supportive where teacher are approcable are engaged are key elements that inhance the learning experience.So according to me the faculties are doing there best in terms of everything a student need in his/her college life.

There is no such group discussion type things or interview . Its totally on merit basis what you write in exam . To prepare for Bitsat , if you are preparing for jee mains and advance in coaching , you dont need giving seprerate time for bitsat .
