I personally didnt perform great in jee mains but got a decent score in jee adv which gave me options to a few iits as well as i had some top state colleges as my backup , but Bits was my best choice given the branch and college reputation and overall exposure that i would be gaining.I did get rejection from 2 iits in the branches i was expecting myself to get into but third option was bits which i got . The admission process starts approximately 2 weeks after 2nd attempt of bitsat where you are supposed to fill out a form that asks for information about you as well as your preferences of branches you wish to get into , then the rounds begin which show the alloted branch and then by 4th round you get called to college for completing up the remaining process for confirming your admission. Eligibility is the you should have passes std 12th with 75% aggregate in PCM and individual scores for PCM should be more than 60% in std 12th, only single droppers are allowed to write the exam provided they have met the eligibilty in their year of passing 12th....Read More

The reputation of the college impressed me with good placement record. I applied SRM,Thapar,Nit Jaipur but the brand value of Bits got me to take the admission here. I got rejected from BITS PILANI CSE due to low score. For ME admission Bits HD test is conducted and also from GATE the admissions are done through faculty.Cutoffs for Gate is Around 600 and for BITS HD around 110/300. This college gives you the right amount of freedom, which helps in students to go out of the box and do something different than others. I applied to iist and got a confirmed addmission but i rejected it due to no scope for aerospace engineering at this moment and the attendance policy which i resent. I got rejected by iiit hyderabad i didn't make it there because I didn't clear cutoffs by 0.25 so I didn't make it. In any Bits Pilani group college, BITSAT is the way to get admissions. Since 99.5 percentile students go to Pilani campus, 98 percentile to Goa and upo 97 percentile students are eligible for BPHC. So, this is how admissions happens and obviously BITS Pilani was the first choice but sadly couldnt go though as with my percentile this was the branch and campus left for me at best....Read More

The admission process is through Bitsat exam which is national level exma happens every year . Approx 3-4 lakh candidates fill this form.
