Course Curriculum Overview
I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams
Fees and Financial Aid
When i was looking at colleges the fee was one of my biggest concerns. At NIAT the tuition fee is around 4lakh per year so the complete 4 year btech program costs about 16lakh before scholarships. The good part is that your final fee doesn't have to be the same as everyone else's. I appeared for the NAT and based on my score i reveived a scholarship that reduced my overall fee. A good NAT score can make a noticeable difference. Also the fee structure may change for new batches so it's always better to check the latest details during the admission process
Campus Life
My overall experience has been quite good. The campus has a friendly vibe so settling in and making friends wasn't difficult. There are coding, sports, and cultural clubs where you can participate based on your interests, and they make colleges life more enjoyable beyond academics. Most evenings, you will find students hanging out at the cafeteria, gym, or common areas which gives a nice balance between studies and social life
Admission
I had a few other options but most of them felt like the usual engineering colleges where practical learning comes much later. NIAT stood out because it focused on coding, projects, and building industry skills right from the beginning. I wanted a place where I could actually imorove my skills instead of only studying for exams and that's the main reason i chose this college
Faculty
One thing i have noticed is that the faculty actually knows who you are especially if you are regular in class. Whenever i got stuck with an assignment or coding problem i could just ask them after classes without feeling awkward. They dont just teach for exams but they keep reminding us why a concept is useful in real projects and i think that's made learning much more interesting for me
Night Life
Campus life has been enjoyable so far. After classes most of us usually hang out at the cafeteria, spend some time at the gym, or just sit in the common areas with friends. The hostel is comfortable and makes it easy to stay connected with classmates, so there's always someone to study or chill with. Along with coding, sports, and cultural clubs, these spaces make campus life feel active and help maintain a good balance between academics and fun
