Dislikes
- Management by the college and the faculties are not good
- There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
- Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is not much advanced if anyone want to pursue further studies. The students may have to study more than the topics covered in syllabus to be able to understand advanced topics and to apply in real world applications. The good thing is that the college has a mandatory internship program that helps the students. But the only thing is the internships are for non technical roles.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides with internship opportunities as they are mandatory for second year students and it provides credits to them. The companies that come for internship is service based and provide only non technical job roles. The students also have to bag an internship in their fourth year to compete their course and complete their degree.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is a bit high for a middle class family. But they provide many scholarship opportunities to the students. These scholarships are based on the marks scored by the student on their class 12th exams and also based on the CGPA they scored. The scholarships may not impact much but it is decent amount for a private institution. Also their hostel fees are very high. The services provided for the hostel and mess fees are not upto the level.
Campus Life
The annual cultural and technical fest is Trithi. It was held in April this year. Their timings for the event changes according to the academic calenders. The campus has many sport grounds for students. Interested students can go and play there. There are courts for many games like volleyball, badminton, squash, basketball, table tennis. There are even grounds for cricket and football. They even provide swimming pools for boys and girls on different timings. The libraries are also good. There is availability of subject related books.
Hostel Facilities
The room is furnished with an almirah with a study table, a chair and a cupboard as well. They also provide with beds and mattresses. Students can even buy their own mattresses if they want. Hostel is quite costly. The campus has two mess. But the food quality is not as good as expected. Their food is nutritious but not as good as in the case of taste. The menu for the mess is pre-designed by the mess committee and it repeats every week. The menu changes in few months regularly.
Admission
They don't have any particular eligibility level for admission into their institution. The student must atleast have 60% marks in ther class 12th marksheet. There are reservations provided for the students. The admission procedure is quite easy. The college also conducts their eligibility exams named ATIT conducted once a year. Their application form is available in their website.
Faculty
The qualifications of faculty members are quite good. The method of teaching of some faculties are very good. They make sure that the students have understood the topics well. The faculties are available almost all the time in their cabins. We can approach them just by going into their cabins. The faculties are quite helpful and they may also mentor students for their betterment.
Interview Experience
They took an interview round. That round was very easy. It did not need much preparation. They ask for basic questions like the student's introduction and why are they choosing this college and what are their future plans after the completion of the course.
