Reality of deccan college of engineering and technology

The course curriculum is set by the Osmania University.. They conduct the exams and release the result.. The difficulty of the course varies from stream to stream. Exams can be easily passed through proper preparation and studying well as important question comes frequently..

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

The year wise fees is 80000/- per annum for any branch.. The minority students who qualified for TS-EAPCET will get fee reimbursement (no need to pay any fees).. And for management students depending upon the course donation will be charged

There are no fests, events.. Only come to college learn and go.. No sports/clubs/social groups and not even canteen is available.. The classroom are of poor infrastructure.. Only few classes has provision of projector.. Library is average

After completion of 12th/intermediate course you can write any entrance exams. I wrote TS-EAMCET and got 80k rank.. And I got IT branch in this college through counselling.. I was aiming for a good college like MJ/VJIT/CBIT but due to poor rank I got seat in this college... I accepted my fate and took admission here

The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. The faculty is rude and few of them are friendly with students... Arjumand Sattar madam who teaches M1/M2/M3 is highly qualified and Dr Hashmat Ali khan Head Of Chemistry also teaches chemistry very well... 2 internal exams are held in a semester and 1 external exam is held at the end of the semester... The final exam( external) is held by the Osmania university at different OU affiliated Centers.. The exams are quite tough and the pass percentage isnt much impressive
