What Students Say

Likes

The labs are well established and maintained. Old but good.
Library has more than enough copies of the books referred in the syllabus.
Chapters like ASME, SAE, IEEE and IEDC are very active and are participating in national level competition and winning.

Dislikes

Some faculties are not at all sincere about teaching.
Eventhough the association has a volleyball cum basketball cum badminton court facility in the auditorium just in front of the college, they will never allow volleyball or basketball to participate there.
The events are repetitive and boring. Need to improve.

Course Curriculum Overview

The core papers are designed to make you build an engineering eye. The exams are hard. There are two internal exams and one end semester examination. Since the new batch is academically autonomous, the syllabus has been widened with more non credit coursesnas well.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

You have to attend two internships before the placements starts. The companies in the ernakulam or cochin offers more internship opportunities. I did an internship at Kochi Water Metro for 15 days in my third semester.

Placement Experience

Students become eleigible for campus placements from the sixth semester. TCS, CTS, Wipro are the main techno companies and Bosch is one of the main core companies. The percentage of students getting core jobs is less but in IT fields it's not an issue.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly I hav to pay around 15000 for academic purposes. Other than that there is additional sports and arts fee, PTA fees etc. There is fees consumption for EWS, FWD,SC and ST. There is also other benefits for ST.

Campus Life

There are two festivals. The arts and cultural festival occurs in the even semester. It is called 'Sanskriti'. The technical fest occurs in the odd semester known as 'Takshak'. Clubs or Chapters are a huge part of the student society.

Admission

I applied to Government Engineering College - Thrissur, College of Engineering - Trivandrum, Thangal Kunju Musliar College - Kollam. The reason I didnt get into these colleges is because my rank in KEAM was low. You have to take KEAM exam to get into Engineering colleges in Kerala. If you have the sufficient rank to fill up the seats in tge college you are accepted.

Faculty

The faculties are sufficient but some are not at all cooperative. The faculties in charge of chapters like ASME and SAE are very helpful in our programs. There are 2 internal exams and one external exam. The internal marks add upto 50 and ESE 100, giving a total of 150 marks

Night Life

For the men's hostel the timing is from 6 in the morning to 9pm in the night. For the ladies' hostel it is fro 6.30 to 7 pm in the evening. There are about 4 gyms in a 500m radius from the college junction. The town is only 1 km away from the college. It has hotels, electronics shop, mobile service, theatres etc

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for its autonomous status. This allows MACE to have more current and industry relevent curiculum unlike colleges with fixed university syllabus.
