Likes
- The way the professors teach and the material which they provide are really beneficial for us students. And they create very educational environment which helps us to focus on studies and not get distracted in any ways.
- The overall environment of our college is very good. Students are very helpful and well spoken in our college. And the campus life is very good

Dislikes
- The college canteen. The quantity is compromised after the new tender has been passed. And the prices are not relevant.
- The infrastructure, I think it could have been a bit more spacious since sometimes empty classes are not available and its a bit fuss to search around.
Course Curriculum Overview
The English Honours course is itself a very detailed course consistent of literature , language and culture. Where we get to read different literatures of different eras and countries. The course aims to develop student's critical thinking , analytical skills and communication skills.
Placement Experience
From the 5th and 6th semester the students are eligible for for campus placements. There are many companies who visit our college for recruitment,like Deloitte,google etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees for BA English Honours is 12855 for a year and 12000 for bcom hons for a year. There were no other charges taken other than the fees. There are a few Freeship scholarships provided by the college itself for the amount of 15000.
Campus Life
The overall experience with the campus life is excellent ,there are various societies in our college from cultural to non cultural societies. These societies are very beneficial since they really help us improve our communication and time management skills.
Admission
As per the University of Delhi, we are supposed to Make our own preference list with our choices of college and courses. o I chose maitreyi college since I found that maitreyi college is more better than dayal Singh college evening . As per my scores I was eligible for English Honours. The cutoff for English hons in Maitreyi college was 515. Since my scores were fitting into that cutoff I was eligible for it. The overall admission process was a bit depressing because things were getting delayed and the constant pressure was on us.
Faculty
The faculty of English dept. is very much approachable, since the professors are very much engaged into student's understanding and comfort with everything. The faculty of Science is also very good since they are very punctual and they provide alot of study materials to the students so that there's more understanding in the concept instead of mugging up. I didn't go though any other faculties so I cannot tell about the disliked faculty but I believe in our college all the faculties are the best.
Night Life
There are different lanes of embassy which are really fascinating and its a good place for chit chat and long walks. There are multiple cafes and restaurants near the campus. But the locality is not so safe to roam around at night since the vehicles are at heavy speed, and its never safe to go outside in the night in Delhi.
