Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is very rigorous, you have to be focussed from start to pursue this course, you can not pass if you try to study just one day before examination, if you want to pursue something else or preapring for any another exam you can't totally negelct the course so choose accordingly, in first year you will study basic micro macro maths and statistics , in second year it become more rigouruos with econometrics and in third year you will study the subjects which are based on first two years so it is needed to be focussed from first year.Dont completely neglect the course.

Internships Opportunities

3

I have not done any internship here so I cannot say much about it but there is a placement cell which i would say daily send messages on group for a new internship opportunity so the placement cell is very active.

Placement Experience

4

The placements here are average and totally depends on the potential of the student , college can't provide that much opportunity but you will get internship opportunities here, there is a placement cell too which provides internship opportunities

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year the fees was around 14,000 In second year it was around 10,000 and in 3rd year it was around 12,000 so it is overall around 36,000 for the whole course if you go for 3 year course. The course can be considered as affordable the only cost is of living in delhi if you are from outside

Campus Life

4

The annual fest of the college is priyadarshini although the departments have their own fests too and societies have their own , so overall you will find any fest and event happening in the college. The fests and events are good . I have seen sometimes boxing matches happens in college. The technological provisions are not that much advanced in classroom. The library is very big and air conditioned. Books are very much accessible.

Admission

I applied in rajasthan university where addmission were on the basis of marks of 12th class and my 12th marks were not enough to get me through there. It was the only college where I get confirmed addmission. I chose the college only because of the affordability of the course and the course which I want to do. The college comes under university of delhi. The addmissions happen through CUET Examination . The eligiblity is that you should be 12th pass and you have a score according to the cutoff of the college , the cutoff for this course in this college is around 600 for general

Faculty

4

Faculties are very much approachable, if you are trying and putting efforts in the course professors will recognise and try to help you , you can clear your doubts, the professors here are from dse, jnu . The faculty to student ratio is almost 1:15 which is good.

Night Life

4

The college timing is around 9am in the morning till 3pm to 4pm. The locality is very safe as NIA building is near the college so you will find a safe environment but in college sometimes fights happen among students due to student politics. Lodhi garden is there at walking distance , sundar nursery and humayun tomb are 5 mins far from college.

The placement cell is very fair and shows equal opportunity for all the courses and never ever disapointed us in a manner that we will go unplaced by the college, they will support us in bad time as well, the average package of the colege is even 7 lakhs and highest is 50 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

Yes, there is indeed a placement cell in the college. It does help the students in acquiring jobs but as in most colleges, the skill of the individual student matters more. Hansraj therefore runs a skill and placement training program, and those who finish that without an iota of doubt, get placed. Economics hons is by far the best course in terms of placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and may be seen as average in aspect of my college . I selected my course as I saw myself holding potential in the field of language , English was my strong interest. The curriculum prepares a basic and needed knowledge for everyone accordingly and yes , it may be seen as an important aspect in higher education, experiences from professors and teachers is shared by live demonstrations and examples in order to achieve a good understanding. The improvement in the curriculum may be that of a much regular based classes as there is a frequent cut in classes and sometimes some teachers may slack during the day cancelling classes and stuff . The frequency of exams and timings are arranged and not much complicated related to my course and difficulty may be considered moderate .
