Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course has given me lot of indepth knowledge about my topic of interest and it also allows me to broaden and dive into other topics of interest that have nothing to do with the course...hence I would like to say it's a well rounded course and there is lots of practical demonstration done by few teachers as well to pique the intrest of students as well

Internships Opportunities

4

Once you reach 3rd year that are many internship opportunities provided by different companies and college half of which are paid and half of it unpaid but overall it is a good learning experience for the students who don't have much of knowledge or outside world knowledge there are many projects assigned by these internships and the college which help the resume of the students and help them grow and learn different things

Placement Experience

4

From 5-6th sem placements start and the process involves many famous companies visiting our college and interviewimg the students.. Many companies visit such as BOSCH, INFOSYS,TCS,HP, BLUESTAR,L&T...etc The average package is of 6lpa Percentage of students getting placed is around 72%

Fees and Financial Aid

Nitte Minakshi institute of technology Bangalore doesn't require you to pay any donation fees ...which is the main criteria looked upon by majority of people... The year i joined being 2022 ..the fees for ECE branch was 3,50,000...under which 3000 was paid for examination fees and 700 was paid for supplementary fees...for people who join through exams like COMEDK the fees will be cut short to 2,20,000 and for people who joined through KCET it would be 95,000... The bus fees is usually 30,000..but this depends on how far from the college you stay

Campus Life

5

There are many clubs present in the college is includes club like gaming and car clubs and a music dance and other cultural club in there are also clubs like alumini club and clubs like X factor where many talents come together There are different hacked once and fests that are organised by the college one of these events or fests is call anadyantha this is the yearly first help by the college where there are many activities and DJ nights present the students run different social clubs and groups which help the college overall and that are credits assigned to the people taking part in these club activities the college provides with two libraries and reference sections... And also with laboratories having computers where we can research and do many other things

Admission

Tbh I joined this college because my best friend was joining and there was no donation fees. At the time there was no admission test as I got in through management quota...where we just have to pay the fees ..and after few documentation you are in...the main eligibility they look for is the 12 th marks (should be above 75%) and if u have attended any competitive exams or not

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio would be 1:7...but most of the teachers are well trained to make all the students handled by them learn whatever they are offer...most of them are easy to approach and learn from and ask doubts...kushalatha ma'am , prajna ma'am , Smitha ma'am are few of the best teachers I have seen ...not only in college..but generally...they are well trained and know how to teach efficiently ...the teachers who need much training are teachers like vaishnavi ma'am ...who don't treat everyone equally and shows bias .. From 2024...a new scheme has been implemented..where there will be 2 internals..(internals are called MSE)..carrying 15 marks each ...the exam will be for a total of 50 marks ..which will then be brought down to 15....there are 3 internal assessment or projects....which are for a total of 10 marks each ...and the sem end examination is for a total of 100 marks ..which is brought down to 50 marks

Night Life

5

There is a gym for boys and girls and public areas are open till 10 p.m. in the hostel and campus life is very friendly and the college timings are from 9 to 4.40.. the list of famous hangout places inside outside college are mainly Siri and hotspot the places inside college are la casa and Goli and the basketball court.. The college is big enough for the students to wrong around at night and enjoy the night life...

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is very active in our college. Every year more than 30+ companies come to our college for recruitment . Our seniors from 7th semester get placed in many companies and before getting placed in the company our college offers internships to every student. Around 80 % of the students get placed in companies and work efficiently. The average package for civil engineering is 2.5 lakh per annum.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
