Life at NIT AGARTALA || Experiences, Challenges and and Opportunities

I chose electrical engineering as my major. Here in our college circuital branches are good in terms of academics and placements. There will be labs and projects tondo, and so that if someone is really want to move on in that field it will help decently. The timings will be good for exams and difficulty of exams is medium.

College placements are good in our college if we compare to secondary NITS and current outside career opportunities. It is obvious that the person who is more skilled is opt out in interviews. I hope our college is giving nice placements, but all the students are not in quality band to utilise it. If they use it correctly, they the college placements statics may be still good.

Actually the fee to be paid per semester is nearly 1 lakh rupees tuition fee and nearly 30 thousand rupees hostel fee. But you can avail a tuition fee waiver if you are in BPL(below poverty line). Then you should only pay the hostel fee. I have paid intially 70 thousand for josaa and later 30 thousand including host fee and initial fees in my first sem. I did not pay any tuition fee, and later every semester I will pay nearly 30 thousand only

Overall the experience is good. There are many clubs in our college both technical and non technical clubs. They Non technical clubs include basket ball, dance, music and many other.Technical include programming clubs, business, robotics, entrepreneurship, drones and many more.

Hostel will be provided. All the required facilities are available. But for boys 1 hostel is old and other is new. The old one should be renovated, but new one is okish in terms of facilities. Mess will not be good that's a big drawback in our college.

I applied many other top NITS but I didn't get them due to rank constraints. But I applied to this college mainly based on two factors, but I 1. Circuital Branch and established college 2. Placemnts I applied mainly in basis of placements, later I came to know that I decently took a right decision

The professors are decent, some are good, some are just for namesake. It happens in every college. For every semester generally there will 6 subjects and 2-5 labs depends on the branch. For first year it is common syllabus for all branches. Marking system is absolute marking with CGPA.

Night life is just OK in our college. There are not time constraints for boys hostel, but for girls no incoming or outgoing into hostel. There is no night canteens after 11 pm that is a factor which is bad in our college. Sports complex is also not opened in the night. But you can play internally in the hostel, there will be lot of space.
