Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is highly related to the real world and real world problems. And also it does prepare you for your further academic pursuits. In English honours you start reading between the lines and your understanding level increases a lot. You start seeing things different way. The timings and frequency of aur exams are fixed. They happen once in a semester and twice an year.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fees usually for me 11000 rs. With quota and normally it is something like 12 or 13000 something. There are no other charges except examination fees which also very affordable foor students as for 7 subjects the fees goes up to only 2200 something and different quota have different effects on fees. For the last year my fees went up to 14000. So fees does increase but we'll also get our security deposit back in the last semester.

Campus Life

5

My overall campus experience has been the best one's by far. I just love my college. The crowd is nice and so are the clubs. I've been part of a lot clubs since my first year and it was a wonderful experience. The best part of college is it's fest. The fest season of the Delhi University starts in Feb mid or March starting and it is the BEST. The best fests, the best artist, the best food everything is best

Admission

My college is one the best colleges in delhi University. Many influential people have graduated from this campus. For me this college was the best college be it in terms of sports, education, infrastructure or anything else. One of the other reasons for choosing this college is because of its faculty. Kirori mal college has the best faculty in the English department, like one of the best in the entire university. I applied for other colleges like hansraj, hindu, srcc but KMC was my first preference and I got my admission through CUET entrance exam. So KMC was my first preference and I got in the college in the first cutoff so I didn't think much and just applied for the addmission.

Faculty

5

I just love my department's faculty members. They are the sweetest people. They are really helpful to us be it during our exams or be it anything else. They are superfun to talk to and even in between exams they come to cheer you up. One of the best faculty members is rudrashish sir and Tara ma'am they are by far the best faculty members I've met. In English there are three core subjects and one dse which are each of 90 marks. They are very interesting as you get to learn about different things.

Night Life

5

The nightlife of campus is something to experience. It's a once in a lifetime experience, the places that open up for food or fun, they are truly the best. The campus closes at 8 pm and during events it varies.

Other Applied Colleges

Hansraj College - [HRC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Kirori mal college was my first preference as it is one of the best colleges in du

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

Placement Experience:

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .
