Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum offered relevant history and technical knowledge of the subject. It gives technical and theoretical capabilities in the subject and provides insight for further education. The frequency and timing of the exams are highly inappropriate and necessary or a stable time structure is not available due to the delay exam notification from the university which affects the ability of the students to aptly prepare for the exams.

Internships Opportunities

3

Different courses have different internship formats and vary from subject and year. Most of the internships have to be discovered by the student themselves and a stipend is not often offered.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester wise tuition fees are 11250 rs in addition with the university exam fees of over 1000 rs and has been continuing 2 semester per year for the course duration of 3 years which amount to 6 semesters. The annual fees is 22500 rs and the total tuition cost of the course if 67500.

Campus Life

4

Annually there are very few programs held and most if them are held by college students union. These include college day, union day, arts festival, Christmas, onam and other holiday programmes etc. The library has an extensive collection of books and journals in relation to the subjects and also a very fair and diverse collection of entertainment literature. Sports and extracurriculars include a basketball, cricket, football teams along with NCC and Nss. Various student run clubs also exists such as film club, debate club, IEDC,etc.

Admission

I chose to attend this college because I recieved admission here on merit. The eligibility exams for my course was 12 standard equivalent exam. The admission process was fairly simple this only entailed few submissions of certificates and filling of forms.

Faculty

4

Each departments have at least 3 to 4 staff members including Hod and assistant professors. Some interact with students in an open way some are structured and strict, some are slacking and inappropriate. A campus year consists normally of 2 semester exams, 2 internal exam and 2 model exams along with various class tests. These exams are all of moderate difficulty and many students clear the subject without fail.

Night Life

3

The entire college including gym and open areas close around 6 and the cafeterias remains open until 9. There are 2 girls hostel in the vicinity where the curfew is between 6&7 pm. Famous hangouts inside the college include the canteen, butterfly park and the library. Outside hangouts include kaipuzhakattu and chayapeedika along with the paddy field. The locality is fairly safe at night although the presence of occasional troublemakers are possible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
