I am extremely proud to study in SXC where discipline, management, and efficiency runs in each and every sphere. The three-year experience is transformative and it helps individuals grow in ways more than one.
Course Curriculum Overview
The year is divided into two semesters with a semester examination being conducted at the end of each semester. The examinations are of standard level with larger emphasis on application-based questions. The assignments, examinations,activities etc are such that it grooms us as future professionals.
Placement Experience
The college has its own Placement Cell with ample opportunities at hand for all students. The campus placements witness quite a few large companies each year.
College Events
Events in St. Xaviers College take place round the year. The biggest celebration being Xavotsav and other departmental and social events that regularly take place. These range in events related to management, commerce, debating, fine arts, music, dance, sports and so much more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Bachelor of arts being a government aided course has a subsidised fee structure. Fees of the first year can go up to Rs.40000. There are no hidden expenses. There is the facility of applying for relaxation in fee if any student faces financial problems if proper documents are provided to verify the same.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not go for any of the options mentioned above. The college provides financial help to any student who is needed for it.
Campus Life
The atmosphere in the campus is extraordinarily vibrant. Participation in co-curricular activities are mandatory for each and every student. The laboratories are well-equipped with professionally trained assistants. The events that take place are highly competitive and only the best make it to the top.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni association of SXC is one that is very active. They help in organizing various events. Any first year in college is only treated with care and integrity. The college caters a healthy environment.
Admission
The admission process usually begins after the publication of results of any Central Board in mid May. The application form is only available online. Barring a few courses like Multimedia, Mass communication and B.M.S.the admission criteria is purely on the basis of +2 marks.The first cutoff list usually comes out in the first week of June.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is highly qualified and experienced. They help in gaining exposure beyond the walls of classroom teaching. Each faculty member possesses rich knowledge and is essentially helpful. The essential characteristic of the faculty remains their polite behavior.
