things which i have like about my college is the faculty is very work oriented and gives you a lot of project work to devlop your skills
I had participated in many college events which grow my interpersonally skills and make me a good speaker in public

Dislikes

there is been a lot of holidays which i never liked
some of the time students may fight with each other without any reason

Course Curriculum Overview

my course is quite good for the students who like economics as when i was in 10 th standard i was having a keen intrest in economics after that i had cleared in mind that i have to persued economics and studied thorroly

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees is aproximately 30 thousand because du colleges are not expensive and per semester fees is around 10 to 12 thousand. Then we talk about scholarships so yaa you can grab scholarship as well but for that you have to score a generous amount of marks so that you can be on the top 2 percent students so that you can easily avail the benefit of scholarship

Campus Life

My campus life is very good, i made a lot of friends my main motive is to socalize with everybody. I often participated in my college events which devlops my interpersonal skills and help to grew myself in public as well as my college often announces fan fest events to enjoy

Admission

As far as i know this college is having a great respect towards students and getting admission there is like a dream come true and the fees is very minimal in this college compare to other colleges this college has a top faculty and campus is also very nice

Faculty

faculty is quite decent and course pattern is there would be 6 semester in exams and each semester would have 5 subjects exam in which you have to be pass no matter how to get admission in another semester and score would be around min 50 to 60 marks

Night Life

There is everything inside college campus. I am a gym loving person and i do a lot of gym after my study hours and you can have a good meal at cafetaria and safety inside campus is quite good you can walk anytime without any kind of fear

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Truth About Hidden IPCW (DU)

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option
