Dislikes
- What I find bad about Hansraj is it has loads of monkeys in the campus which is dangerous since they even attack students some times.
- The toilets here are not very well managed and flushes and mirrors are not missing sometimes.
- It's not great to count on Hansraj when it comes to event's. It's not very happening when comes to fests and events.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose economics bc I personally loved economics plus the maths teacher for economics is very supportive and helpful. She's good at teaching. Meanwhile the pressure is real that you'll have to deal with it , the teachers are nice but the curriculum is quite tirring along with the society work. Tests and project's are given on regular basis
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees in Hansraj is pretty affordable. But The hostel fees I believe is pretty too much for any middle-class family. My friends are mostly from general category and their cuet score was 720+ for the ba programme courses. Apart from that the faculty is good. The College provides scholarship to EWS students in need.
Campus Life
Hansraj's most famous fest is confluence typically held in the month of April. The fest has it's own vibe and is really good. Apart from that regular day at Hansraj is also great because there are events going on all the time. The classrooms are air conditioned , the sports ground is big and always busy with sports going on. The library is good and spacious but it's always occupied. The societies are fun but super hectic.
Admission
I applied to top colleges of DU only. I was clear from the start that I'll only take admission if I get any of the top colleges in Delhi University. My cuet score wasn't great so I didn't get into SRCC. If you want to get into Hansraj do prepare from the start tho cuet isn't tough. Check the cut offs for your category and give regular mocks for evaluation. After the exams be attentive about the counselling updates.
Faculty
The teacher student ratio here is pretty decent. Except for the EVS class, the faculty is nice and approachable most of them. The project's and assignments are a regular part of College and you'll always be busy with them . The exams are a bit tough but most of the student pass it .
Night Life
Best places to hangout are kamla nagar, tom uncle's Maggie poin, sudhama ki chai, little Hut, patel chest. You can shop here ,go on strolls ,and Just sit somewhere quite with friends. Evenings in North campus are worth the hype trust me.
