Course Curriculum Overview

4

Actually I have taken this btech CSE course because of the huge market in the industry and the high demand of the course. IT companies want more students who are technically and personality strong so that the can handle multiple fields work and our college try their best to provide their knowledge and expertise to improve more. And we are ready for facing real world problem after 4 years.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are so many internship offers that came or can say provide from our college. Most are nonpaid internship offers. But som of them are paid internship also but it has very low chance to be selected as there is high competition. But college most of the time posted so many internship opportunities for the students which is apritiable.

Placement Experience

3

From placement point of view I can say one thing it's need to be improved more. More companies should reach out to our college for camping interview. Overall placement is moderate. But in some cases high package also can be provided for suitable one. Average package is around 4 to 5 LPA that is not so good In my point of view

Admission

Our college is different from other colleges in various way Teacher faculty principal hods are very much helpful towards us they helm us when we face any kind of difficulties and get rid from various problems. Regularity maintain and classes conducted every day. Personal guidance is provided.

1.Faculty-to-Student Ratio Typically, a favorable faculty-to-student ratio is considered important for personalized attention and accessible interactions. At SVIST, the ratio aligns with maintaining smaller class sizes, which is helpful for students who need individual guidance. 2. Faculty Approachability and Relationship Faculty approachability varies by individual. In general, faculty members are open to answering questions during office hours, and most welcome student interactions outside of scheduled classes. Building rapport with faculty can often make the college experience more enriching, and it’s beneficial to seek guidance on both academic and career-oriented questions. 3. Faculty Members and Their Teaching Styles Suvrojoty Dey, Sourav Bal, Krishna Kumar Jha, Jishnu Mondal, Samrat Paul, Principal Sonali Sarkar, and Somnath Das are all faculty at SVIST, each contributing unique expertise to their respective departments. In terms of teaching styles, each faculty may employ a mix of traditional and innovative methods. Some might focus on hands-on practice, case studies, or encourage open discussions, which can enhance the learning experience. 4. Favorite Faculty and Qualities Appreciated Many students appreciate faculty members who bring practical insights to theoretical subjects and help make complex concepts accessible. Those who encourage active participation and critical thinking often stand out positively in the learning journey. 5. Course Structure and Curriculum Relevance The course structure typically balances core subjects with electives, providing foundational knowledge in the initial years and allowing specialization later. This structure is designed to help students acquire necessary skills for both academic and industry settings. Relevance varies based on specialization and can align closely with industry demands, especially in technical fields like engineering, where trends in technology can rapidly evolve.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
