Brief review of Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science and Technology

I am interested in computer science so I choosed this course. The curriculum is slightly back dated but still helps students to get a job in this modern world. They should add more crucial subjects which can teach students to be more job ready. The exams are not that frequent and not that difficult. If you are regular you can easily get good marks.

Many start ups come for internships and many popular companies also come for internships like TCS, IBM etc. There are paid internship available too. Overall the internship scenario is good. If anyone is dedicated enough they can get internship easily. College tries their best to provide internships.

From third year students become placement ready. Many top companies like IBM, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, TCS come here. Highest package is around 12L and average around 4L. 80% of students get placement. My plans is to get a job in a multinaional company after completing my course.

The fee structure at SVIST varies depending on the course and admission category. B.Tech fees structure through management quota: 490000 through counseling: 389000 these fees are for entire four years which is divided into eight semesters. the fees typically include tution, registration, lab, development and other charges like admisiion fees.

Overall experince in the campus is really good. The environment is charming. There are music club, dance club, art club and some other clubs. Cultural fest and tech fest happen every year. We can access any book from the library. . Every classroom has smartboard. The college creates a huge impact in student life.

We have wifi in hostel. The meal is pretty decent. Menu is as follows: egg and fish every day morning chicken twice a week thursday full veg meal biriyani and friedrice once a month anyone can get room in hostel if they contact the college adminisration.

I applied for Academy of Technology, Narula Institute of Technology, JIS college, Techno main salt lake and adamas university. But all these colleges charged too high and too much donation. And also the hostel fees was too much.

For my branch, the physics and electrical faculties are good. But maths faculties are average. Hod of physics and electrical are good. Lab teachers and workshop teachers are alsogood. There are semester exams and 4 internal exams, called CA. Many students fail but most of them pass.

No, we did not face any group discussion, interview or written test. I got admission through management quota. So I dis not faced any of the above. And through counseeling also, no one has to go through these.

The nightlife around is decent. College has a well equiped gym. Cafeteria gets closed after college hours. Hostel closing timing is around 7:30 PM. Locality is safe to roam around at night. There are not any hangout places around.
