Course Curriculum Overview

4

Definitely cse is not the future but the present so it is my primary decision to take it to keep up to dated. Curriculum includes all the relevant subjects like java, c , web dev , app dev , and much more. But it is not very much taught as real world problems. They are mostly theory based so yeah it can become better in that but definitely the subjects introduced are relevant. Also, there are personality development subject like communication skills subject in 1st year. So definitely beneficial. I already told about the exam pattern in the previous section , kindly refer it :)

Internships Opportunities

5

There are multiple companies which come on campus to hire students of 3rd year for internships, like Microsoft, Uber, Sap , Meta,Google and many more. Theist goes on, the average stipend last year received which is mentioned in official document was 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh per month which is very high. Thus the college has excellent opportunities. Since i am a fresher , i havent done any internship.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is one of the highest perks of my college, the avg ctc was 19 lpa and last year for cse it was around 24 lpa. Even in recession times , placement is booming exponentially from past few years. Top companies like zomato, meta, apple, google, linkedin, sap, amazon and many more companies come to college for ON CAMPUS placements, this time the highest ppo received reached to 1 CR by motorq . After the degree i will definitely apply for job opportunities. Companies generally start coming in 3rd year for internships (which can be turned to PPO) and in 4th year for placements. My alternative plan is to do MBA from top B Schools of India like IIMs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly breakdown of fees structure. It increases yearly. 1 lakh 35 1lakh 45 1 lakh 55 i lakh 75 Since fees is already low according to placements and opportunities provided, no merit based scholarship is there as best of my knowledge. There are definitely caste based or reserved categories scholarships for EWS and SC, ST .

Campus Life

4

There are multiple technical as well as cultural fests which occur throughout the year like Taarangana, Jhilmil, and many more. The problem with fests is that it is held in small ground as there is very very very small Audi with not much space. Sorry i am fresher so don't have much details about when they are held. The range and accessibility of library is very excellent. Igdtuw's library is really very convenient, has AC and have all the managed and structured format. The facilities and technological provisions inside classrooms are not so good , the projectors don't work and are very old. There are no ACs and very suffocated and small classes for group of 80 students is alloted to us and that too we have to share with other batch students due to low availability of classes. Also the classes give more of the school vibes than college vibes. Though they are trying to improve, the process is very small. There are multiple sports activities that can be done but the equipments are not too good like badminton net is broken. Thus, not so good. There are multiple seniors or students run clubs, and also one igdtuw resource portal which is very helpful during exams preparation. It gives all the notes and pyqs to us. Their are societies at each corner of Art that could exist , photography, drama, sports, technical and many more. Seniors try their level best to have most talented students according to skills recruit and continue the legacy.

Admission

Low fees and amazing placements statistics were definitely one of the key reasons for me to join. Also my parents want me to go to delhi's government college so I were determined to go here. Obviously my dream was IIT delhi which i couldn't make it due to several reasons, I am not regretting my decision of coming to this college. The seniors and faculties are super supportive. I am in best course which is cse in btech of the college and the small green and clean campus is very convenient for me. The admissions here in btech are thorugh jac counselling which is based on JEE MAINS exam. One must clear it with very high percentile according to their category , mine was general which is pretty high for this college , this time it went to rank 50k last as closing rank out of 14 lakh students. Thus, competition is really tough but still achievable. And if you are in some quotas like SC, ST then you are definitely in a perk.

Faculty

4

There is 1 teacher provided over apporx 80 students of class. Ms Yashika Makkar for CS , Prof. Shiva for maths are so far the best faculties i got encountered with. They are super supportive and understands student point of view. For my 4 year btech course in cse, there are 2 sem in each year and each semester has one mid sem exam. So yeah , exams are pretty hectic but manageable. Exams are easy to moderate difficulty if student prepare thoroughly according to teacher notes and pyqs. Though course curriculum is relevant or decent enough , it can be definitely improved by making more btech cse field related subjects and removing excess subjects from curriculum. Also the cse subjects like programming is a practical and not theoritical subjects so definitely their exams must be code based and practical instead of traditional theory based questions. Also due to poor infra in classes, teachers are not able to teach code in projectors in real time making it a bit hard for students to follow but certainly teachers try their level best to improve and make things clear to students.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements
