Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose CSE because I just like technical field and it's applications. The curriculum is apt as well for placement purpose and includes new things like Ai, DS and many more. Teaching can for sure be better by use for smart class or use of ppt to teach and giving better and organized resources to the students. Exams are conducted twice each semester around Oct-nov and then feb-march and are not that difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are available but they're not many as of now. I have seen companies coming and drives being conducted but most students are already working under off campus internships as they offer better opportunities. Otherwise I don't have much idea of internships on campus

Placement Experience

3

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure varies for various courses In my case, i.e, B.Tech (all branches) the fees for the 1st year as of 2025 is 1.64L and for the other three will be less than 1.5L each year. Scholarships are there but they must be availed under various categories or meritorious students with achievement can apply for the same.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good, diversity is there among students and you get a good environment to grow and socialize here. You can't expect much in terms of fests but test technical fest called Technorax is conducted every year along with an annual cultural fest called Utkarsh which is comprised of many events and performances. The cultural society organizes various events on festivals as well but they're not many and you'll only see it happening occassionally. Library is well equipped and has many books basically you'll get whatever u want. Classrooms are not much only bench and chalkboard, which could be improvised by being replaced by smartboards for better understanding. Sports and extracurricular activities are numerous and there is a society for everything, you can enjoy whatever u like without even thinking twice.

Admission

I applied to IPU counselling through JEE mains. I didn't have many options but I was getting HMR university, Echleon institute of technology, Guru teg Bahadur 4th centenary college, etc. I chose this college because among other IP colleges it has a better placement ratio and good environment and crowd. I wanted colleges like Maharaja agrasen institute of technology, maharaja surajmal institute of technology, bhartiya vidhyapeeth which comes on top of IPU rank list but due to my JEE rank was not able to get it but I'm still content with what I have. To get into my college u need to have a JEE rank around 4L for Tech branches and 6-7 L for other branches like Ece, Me etc. Admission experience was fine IPU delays the process alot but it was still manageable so overall fine

Faculty

4

The faculty here is really nice and understanding. They always consider the student's perspective and listen to their needs. Leniency is there regarding attendance, marks and assignments from their side which is a great factor here. There aren't any facilities that can be disliked in my opinion as all of them are approachable and have their own way of teaching but in the end only thing they could improve is providing organized and better resources for preparation of exams so students feel academically helped out. An academic year includes 2 semesters, each semester has 2 midterm exams which include 50-50 syllabus of end semester exams. The exams are set on a good standard but an average student can score good as well because of lenient marking and checking by the faculty. There are not many who fail easily except some who don't even attend any classes. Course curriculum is apt for the exam and good for the point of course .

Night Life

1

No night life here, to be fair because the college gets closed at night plus the area is very shady so hanging out around there wouldn't be safe. Cafeteria and library are nice and have good facilities. No hostel available but you can try for pgs Again no hangout spots near the college as it is a bit away from the main road, but you can get metro and travel to good spots nearby.
