Course Curriculum Overview

I love history new it Indian or any other country's.I have always wanted to pursue ba hons in history and luckily I even got it . Studying history means knowing whatever happens.. There is always a reason behind it. If the problem behind it is solved , there will be no further involvement caused. Exams are conducted twice a year.

Placement Experience

I don't want any placement from my college as I will be preparing for civil services after my graduation. Highest package offers in our college is, 21 lakh per annum. And average package is 5.3 lakh per annum. And about the placement percentage, it is around 40% which is a decent percentage.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from general category and the total sum of amount I paid for my admission and for a year was 13 k . 1.The College provides freeship to students whose parental income does not exceed Rs.8 lakhsper year.Freeship is open to students of all categories i.e. General/ SC/ ST/ OBC.Scholarship to PwD students - Candidates who are eligible for this scholarship can avail the following Benefits /Value of Fellowship i) Up to Rs. 3000 per month Fees waiver + 50% Mess Subsidy ii) Rs. 3001 to 8000 per month Fees waiver but no Mess Subsidy iii) Rs. 8001 and above per month - No fees waiver and no Hostel Subsidy 3. Scholarship to SC/ST candidates - Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Tribes are awarded scholarships by the states to which they belong. 4. Sports Category - Scholarships and Freeship are given on the basis of performance and achievements in sports.

Campus Life

5

The infrastructure is just wow. And there are a lot of clubs and societies to join and look forward to . Fir example there are painting society, modelling society, western dance society and even society for north eastern girlies. Library is quite big and offers a huge number of books. They also have a E Library which have almost each and every book. There are lot of sports options also to choose from. U can join any sport u like.

Admission

I have always wanted to take admission in Delhi University,be it in any college of it. Luckily I got one of the top colleges of Delhi University. I had also applied in Jamia milia islamia and I could even make it but I was not interested in talent admission there. I gave cuet exam and scored 700/800 and got maitreyi College

Faculty

There a lot of faculty members in our college and everyone is too nice for being hated or being disliked. Even though my favourite is Dharma kumar sir who teaches us panckosha: holistic development of personality. It is so because the level of comfort and joy while he teaches is absolutely wow. And I will say I kinda dislike Miss Ranjana who teaches us Indian and USA history because she narrates so fast that I am not able to match her speed. In a year there are two exams mid sem and final sem. And I would say the course curriculum is quite relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
