- The campus offered a vibrant social life, with numerous club, organizations and extra curricular activities. This helps in both personal and professional growth. a
- The faculty members were generally knowledgeable in their subject. many professors provided valuable mentorship , guiding students in carrier planning.
- The placement cell was quite active ,especially for technical management courses.
Dislikes
- while the core subjects were generally well-taught , some of the electives lack relevance and could be improved.
- The girl-to-boy was somewhat not good . higher number of boys as compare to girls . this sometimes imbalance social activities worked.
- one thing i disliked the most was the 75% attendance requirement.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate the course curriculam as above average in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. The balance between theory and practical application made it easier to grasp the concepts , especially in technical subjects like C, JAVA, DSA etc. The curriculam did a good job of preparing us for real-world applications , where projects were the part of learning experiences. Some courses felt outdated. specially in Microprossesor and microcontroller subjects . while some teachers adopted interactive teaching method , others relied heavily on lectures. More interactive learning methods , such as work shops case studies could enhance student involvement and understanding. The course has Four class assessment and a final end sem exam in a semester(6 months), which makes the exam schedule feel a bit packed.in terms of difficulty, the class assessment are generally manageable,but the final exam tends to be more challenging.
Internships Opportunities
BMC Software offerd roles in software development with a stipened of 5-10k per month .Interns developed a mobile application to improve user engagement . They conducted marjet research , desighned UI/UX element and collaborated with developers .
Placement Experience
Students at our college typically become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester. some of the companies visit the campus for placement like Accenture, TCS, PWC Highest Package Of 2023 is 1400000 and avg is 380000 70% students getting placements after completing , i plan to explore opportunities in software development.
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fees for B.tech in RCCIIT 1st year :74200 + 59000 2nd year :52,600+50,100 3rd year: 48,700+51,200 4th year : 49,800+52,300 Total tuition fees : (44000+44000+45100+45100+46200+46200+47300+47300)/- total caution fees : 10000 /- development fees:2200/- lab fees:(1500*8) additional infrastructure facilitiy:40,000/- student wek\k\lfare and game : 8000/- but , Current fees in our college increasing . it's 604300 in 2024-25 session there is no such category wise fees . if any one belong from TFW category his tution fees will be waived. If anyone have west bengal domicile and have atleast 60% marks in h.s he or she will get 60000/year as a swami vivekanada scholarship.other than this there is also category wise scholarship available.
Campus Life
Campus life is vibrant and engaging . The college library is well stocked with a diverse range of books and journals . Classroom are equipped with modern technologies including smart board and wi-fi. The college promotes physical fitness and sports through various facilities .Students can participate in sports like cricket, football, basketball . various students run socail groups and clubs like rcciit Art and Cultural club , unstop igniter club .
Admission
i applied to several colleges including BBIT ,Narula Institute ? Of Technology, RCC Institute of information technology . i choose this college beacuse of location , course affordability and also place opportunities. The college accepted entrance exams like WBJEE and JEE MAINS . The cutoff for our college is near around 20k in wbjee. Overaall admission experience was good .
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio was fairly balanced,ensuring that classes were not too crowded.Most professors are approachable and willing to help students. the relationship between student and teacher was generally good . Among the faculty, i particularly appreciated Prof.Arijit Ghosh, who taught us Scientific Computing . his teaching style was interective and engaging.Prof. Nandan Bhattachariya was highly respected for his depth of knowledge in communication subjects . I don't like Prof. Apu Mistry . didn't seem as interested in student engagement. The course structure followed a semester system , with four class assessments and one final exam end of that semester.10-20% students failed.Course Curriculam is quite relevant.
