Remarks

The college is growing at a very great pace . The placements are increasing day by day . The faculty’s are well trained and helpful. The college has also been accredited with NAAC A+ Grade just in 2018 .

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course And Curriculum is totally decided by the SPPU i.e Savitri Bai Phule Pune University . The Exam Structure is also decided By the Pune University . There are two exams in each semester . And 1 practical exam for each semester.

Placement Experience

The college has good placement . Out of the 100% of eligible candidates 90% do find a place in one or the other company . Only the ones not eligible for placements are the ones who dont get placed . The college has started to focus a lot on the internship and placement of students . They dont provide any interships yet but they do are signing MOU’s with major companies

College Events

We have 3 major events conducted . 1 in the first semester and the rest 2 in the second semester . The 1st is called “Engineering today “ that is a technical event in which students from all around the city participate . The 2nd is Ashwamedh which is a major sports and cultural event and the third is Shivanjali which is the Annual Day of the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is feasible . The college fees is divided into various categories as they are all around the world . Divided in the sense of various castes . The fees for the caste does start from just 2000 to 1.5 lakh

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are 1-2 scholarships that are provided by the government for the castes and also according to the family income. One of those is EBC that require the annual income to be less than 8 lakhs .

Campus Life

The college has a very huge ground and does focus on sports activities very seriously. The college has well developed labs . The College also does participate in various different cultural , technical , sports activities in various places and platforms not only in india but all around the world

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni and seniors are do very helpful . They are very friendly and as there are many events held in the college , so the interaction between the seniors does increase alot not only in cultural activities but also in technical activities

Admission

The College Addmission Process Is Same As Any Other College in Pune . We have to give MH CET Exam . In which according to the cutoff marks whoever has the required cutoff marks gets a seat in the college

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
