Remarks

No positive remarks whatsoever. Negative remarks aplenty, already covered in its entirety, above. The only thing positive to take from this college though is the fact that education is big business, and education actually means literacy and not knowledge. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a wave of colleges mushrooming in India and elsewhere.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Absolutely horrendous. Curriculum of the university is outdated and pathetic. It does not inspire curiosity, interest or confidence in students. And the examination system is an absolute mess. Students who are better able to please and mingle with teachers and faculty of college, and those who attend college regularly, not necessarily classes, are more likely to excel in their exam results. Also, students excel at cheating during examinations, with cheats and pieces of paper and whole books and texts inside toilets and washrooms. This is the picture across all colleges of the university.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placements and job opportunities are abysmal. Campus recruitment is virtually absent except a handful of the same companies over and over again. Also the college does not provide with any internship opportunities, students have to organise and search for trainings and internships by themselves.

College Events

0.5

Celebrations are the only thing that go on virtually all the time at the college. This day & that day, this event & that event, this fest & that fest. Festivities are probably the only things that take place in the college; tech fest, cultural fest etc. etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for some and expensive for others. Yet, I would say that the fees is quite high and absolutely not worthwhile or value for money. Especially given the fact that the fees has been rising year on year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college or university does not offer any scholarship or loan as such. But the Government of West Bengal does have a freeship scheme for certain marginal sections of students. Also, students can take personal education and student loans from any bank they wish, without the involvement of the college or university.

Campus Life

0.5

Extracurricular activities are dismal or virtually absent. Laboratories are understaffed and not really up-to-date. Labs hark back to Industrial Revolution era. Sports are basically self-service activities with a college team that barely played in competitions outside home ground, that is if, the on-campus field can be called a ground.

Alumni/Alumna

Whether an alumni network even exists is unknown and highly doubtful. Only a few alumni ever came in to attend few events at the college. Hence, help from alumni is virtually non-existent. Also senior students weren't so interactive as to be helpful to juniors. It might seem that the first semester ragging of freshers by seniors may improve bonding later on, but nothing as such happens or should happen. Hence, helpfulness is scarce and seldom found.

Faculty

0.5

Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic. Not even worth talking about. Complete waste of time. Faculty at the college is basically comprised of people who couldn't get better jobs or jobs at other sectors or industries, or jobs of their choice.

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
