The crowd was pretty decent, for some courses very good too
Teaching and faculty was good too, i used to get the concepts easily
Infrastructure is also nice compared to other du colleges

Dislikes

Canteen, the food of canteen can be improved
Opportunities for exposure should be more

The curriculum was good. I chose this course because i wanted to pursue bcom, areas of improvement can include more practical exposure as i felt it is very very less. The frequency and timings of exams was easily manageable

Internships Opportunities

There were quite many offers for internships also, but many of them were unpaid only which was kind of disappointing, but yeah, there were some paid opportunity, and the amount doesn't exceed more than 15,000. It can be improved

Placement Experience

From 5th semester, the students became eligible for campus placement. Many good companies visited and Offers the highest package I saw was something around 10,00,00 per annum and average was three lakh per annum. Percentage of students getting placement was around 40 to 45% and my plans after the degree changed. I decided to pursue my further career in video editing

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees was around 18k annually. 55k-60k for 3 years in short and fees was almost the same for every other courses. Registration fee was very nominal. Don't have any idea about scholarships as i didn't apply for it

Campus Life

There were annual functions and festival celebration which used to held in my college and the range and accessibility of books and journals in the library was quite good. I never faced any problem regarding it. They were not very much extra curricular activities. As I said, there should be more practical exposure, and there were student run social groups, but I never took part in it personally

Admission

I applied to 2-3 colleges more, and I got a confirmed admission in Mata Sundari College. I chose this college over the other colleges because it has good reputation. In comparison to the other colleges. I was getting. And I did face rejection from one or two college as the cut-off was very high, according to my percentage, which was 93.75%. The registration process of my college is quite simple, and you can just simply register with the nominal fee, and the cut-offs are high here too

Faculty

I had good relations with all the faculty. The overall faculty is nice and understanding. Faculties were approachable. I don't dislike anyone in particular. Exam level is moderate. Not so easy not so tough, it's better if you study well for it. And failing ratio is not very high but it's around 25-30%, course curriculum is nice

Things you should know about Mata sundri college, DU

Course Curriculum Overview:

My liking for accepting influenced my decision to choose b.com hons . The curriculum prepares well for real world applications however I think that work on field give more knowledge. Teachers should teach with real life case studies and examples rather than with the bookish theories. The exam are not that though if you had go through the whole syllabus for once (nicely) you can pass the exam with good marks .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.Com with Economics as my course.Because I have done 11-12 from commerce site and I am interested in commerce subjects like accounts, economics.The problems that occur in this subject It takes some time to understand this.You have to study in the right way and take classes.Most importantly, if you want to score good marks in the exam, then you should not skip any exam, be it theory or internal assessment.In this field you can make your future in the lines of accounting economist, otherwise this course is the best according to me and I like it.And if you go ahead and do higher studies in this also Like you can do higher studies in accounting line Due to which your knowledge will increase further.

I would say, the curriculum is also good, like we have labs, and tutorial classes also, in which students get their answers and their doubts are solved. Area of improvement - There should be proper labs of python lecture classes.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is quite active. Many companies in the past have recruited from the college with average package of 5-6lpa and highest being 35lpa. Aroumd 50-60% students appear to get the placements.

Truly great experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching method of the teachers are the best and their no need to change but some teachers take less time and finishes important topic so they can teach more. The time table of our college is very manageable and the timings of the paper are good and the teacher takes class test on weekly basis so it help us to learn topic easy.

Choose bcom program and it a good choice for me. Commerce department is very helpful and supportive. Teacher are very helpful and kind to every student. Time table needs to change because class starts from 8:40am and ends 5:00pm . This needs big change

The life you should live in college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is thorough and pertinent, in my opinion. I chose this course because it helps me understand real-world business situations by covering both the theoretical and practical aspects of commerce, such as accounting, economics, and business law. The subjects are helpful for both real-world employment and future studies like an MBA or CA. Although the course prepares us well, it could be enhanced by including more hands-on learning opportunities, internships, and professional guest lectures. To make lessons more interesting, teachers can employ more interactive techniques like group discussions and digital resources. Exams are scheduled appropriately, but occasionally the timetable feels constrained and leaves little time for review. The exam is at a moderate level and assesses more than just memorisation; it tests our comprehension of subjects.

The campus placement is fairly good with kpmg, Deloitte, Genpact, Accenture. The average package usually ranges from Rs 5-6 LPA while highest have gone to Rs 23 lakhs in recent years. The placements are bagged by proactive students usually with good communication skills and academic records.

College life as a fresher

In order to get into any college of DU, you are supposed to give CUET exam, the score of your CUET exam determines your admission into any college. My dream college was Indraprastha college for women because I wanted to have a minor degree in geography and IPCW is well- reputed for its geography department. My score was 826 out of 1000 and the IPCW cut off for general category was around 750 due to which I couldn't get an admission into that college. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with this college. Life at Mata Sundari college for women.

So i first scored 647/1000 in CUET exam. In Du colleges the cutoff for B.com hons for general category goes really high. Mata sundari overall is a good college. It is located in a very safe place. The fact that i do classical dance also, mata sundari as a college gives me various Competition opportunities.
