Remarks

Overall my experience is very good. The Govt. funds allocated to education should be increased to give the best minds of this country a well equipped support structure to guide them to excellence. Also, the campus needs more cleanliness and awareness drives for social and political sensitization.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I think the course curriculum fits the need of the discipline. It enhances an interdisciplinary mode of education and gives students a horizon of knowledge. I know many of our alumni who are in different fields of Humanities and Social Sciences who have categorically stated that this discipline gave them the required boon. The exam structure is very student friendly and scientific, the semester system provides a meritorious and unbiased checking with a code system.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many of my classmates got internships based on the academic networking the Department provides. The paid internships were of various range from 2000 to 15000 per month. My University has a placement cell that operates on the National scale and brings many sectors for screening.

College Events

3.5

My University is a hub of academic and extracurricular activities. From International academic seminars to National Level Sports tournaments everything is organized here yearlong. Everybody is free to do everything as per their wish.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We only pay 2000 Rupees a year and often less, which covers all the fees and associated costs. So considering the scenario of higher education in my state and country it has to be said that, the fee structure definitely provides for inclusive education.

Fees and Financial Aid

My University often provides its students' scholarships on the basis of academic and extracurricular excellence. My one classmate got free studentship based on her academic achievements and others got the same based on his sporting adventures.

Campus Life

3

The infrastructures sometimes lack the necessary utilities. Having participated in different sporting activities, it can be definitely said the sporting equipments are not up to the mark. The classrooms are small and sometimes not airy. There are many things that need repairing.

Alumni/Alumna

The University enjoys a worldwide alumni network and they have been very helpful in guiding students on their wished career paths. The alumni association is well structured and often organizes different events.

Faculty

4.5

I have only huge respect and appreciation for most of the faculty in my Department. They are well (and sometimes over) qualified and with immense exposure (at international level). They are well suited to the needs of the students and the discipline.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
