There are various opportunities in internships. One can reach out yo the placement cell. There are companies like PAAR, Blinkit, State Urban development agency. So i worked as a quality audit member intern with SUDA for a year to monitor and evaluate the shelterhomes across west Bengal
Placement Experience
The placement cell is improving every year giving exposure to all kinds of backgrounds and unlock potential of yhe candidates. 2. The number of companies visited that i remember are PAAR, IPSOS and other companies and NGOs as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fee for Masters in Sociology would be 1100. 900 as the tuition fee and 200 for examination fee which is same for all the categories. However the students can avail scholarships be it the government scholarships. The student who excels in studies and sports get the scholarship as well
Campus Life
The overall experience of a Presidencians is amazing with a liberal space to speak your thoughts to talk about other things apart from academia. There are various student enthusiast who participates in dance, drama, sports. books and journals is wide. There are various online libraries like Jstor, Research Gate and others. Apart from this there are two libraries one is Arts library and another one is Central library. There's smart classrooms, libraries, world class laboratories. There are various activities like Cricket, Football team, Badminton and Basketball. Apart from that one can join in Drama, dance and there are various forums as well.
Admission
I've chosen this university for it's groundbreaking background. Every course has its theoretical and practical aspect which attracts me and several students. No, haven't gotten any rejection from the colleges so far.i wanted to study here and got in here. For BA and MA there are several entrance exam. PUBDET for undergraduation and PUMDET for postgraduation both are conducted by WBJEE. Cutoff depends on the performance and the ratio of students. For further information one can go through the WBJEE website and Presidency University website as well. After one get selected there's a counselling round which is done by the university and then one gets into the program
Faculty
The student's professors' relationship is excellent and groundbreaking, where one could discuss their issues There are official 6 semesters in B.A. and 4 semesters in BA but now the UGC curriculam has changed so it would be best to go through it
Night Life
There are 3 cafeterias with average food, great coffee from Nescape and otehr tiffin items. The hostel life is amazing. The Hindu hostel is beside the university only and the girl's hostel is in Salt lake for which they have bus to help in transportation
