The program of distance learning from University of Kalyani is the best Distance learning program at that I have ever come across. The distance program provides all of the facilities same as any regular program which makes it a wonderful option for all of the student who cannot afford to go to college regularly.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the stream of education in doing masters of Arts so in the first semester we learned about the meaning of philosophy and meaning of education. The first semester was comparatively easy. We learn about various aspect of education such as education philosophy, education sociology and education psychology. We studied about research methodology also.
Placement Experience
The syllabus of MA education is thoroughly based on research and wider knowledge of the subject so the employment opportunities after the completation of the subject are very wide too. We can get different placement opportunities from the college itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The MA in education is of two years. The first year fee includes tuition fee, registration fee, exam fee so the total fee of the first year is 5.3K rupees. The second year fee includes tuition fee, exam fee which is around 5000 rupees. Total fee of MA in education program is around 10300 rupees.
Campus Life
Many events keep happening at the college so that the confidence of the students are build up. Recently an all India Inter University shooting championship was held. A 10 day fitness program was also held by the department of physical education. Sports selection trial was organised by the facility. Inter College sports competition and also Kalyani University annual Athletic Meet was held.
Hostel Facilities
As I have taken admission in distance education so, I have not taken up the hostel accommodation but hostel accommodation is available for all of the regular students. The hostel fee is directly submitted to the bank account of the college. There are total 9 hostels provided for all of the students of post graduation and Research scholars. Under these 9 hostel 6 are for male and 3 are for female students.
Admission
The application procedure in this college is very easy. First we have to fill in the application form which is available at the official website of the college then you have to attach all of the important documents and pay the course fee. You can pay the course fee in the form of demand draft or also by online banking system. Finally, your admission will be confirmed by the faculty of the college.
Faculty
The on campus Faculty of the college is very helpful towards all of the students. Sometimes the distance students are called at the campus to carry on various extra curricular activities so the faculty and the non teaching staff is very helpful towards us. They direct us and makes us comfortable with all of the campus places.
