The course is the same as of any other university offering the same course, more or less. this college is affiliated to UNIVERSITY OF KALYANI and course is strictly accordingly to their provided guidelines.

Placement Experience

This is a distance learning and this is a master level, general degree program. After this course you can not just go simply find a job but one needs to do a specific course or diploma to get a good job. for example to become a teacher you need to do B.Ed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fees structure of this college for my course is quite effort able. Fees for first year of MA program is around six thousand and for second year it is around five thousand. so for total of two year, this course will cost you around 11000 approximately.

Fees and Financial Aid

i am not sure, if college provides any scholarship to the students on merit basis or on the basis of finical status. However one can confirm from the authorities. Also one can also avail central government through NSP or state government schemes.

Campus Life

College does organise seminars and other workshops for the students. These type of events are organised frequently by the college. I took this course because I am preparing for an entrance exam, and I get some free time for its preparation.

Admission

admission here is given on the basis of the marks obtained in you under graduation, in my case my BA marks was considered for my admission and merit list is made on the basis on your marks only. One needs to apply online on their website.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.

Jadavpur University is a brilliant educational institute and is highly sought after. International Relations, my subject of choice, is not offered in many universities across the country. That is why I wanted to specifically try and join this University.
