Course Curriculum Overview

3

My course name is bsc physical science with computer science in which I have to study three core subject and 4 extra subject . My amin three core subject are physics, maths , computer science. And 4 extra subject are sex, vac,Ge,Aec. If I will compare my course to computer hons it is not good. But who were not able to get hons come to this course and it is a good course for future , if someone wants to do master he or she can do in the subject he has studied , you can get placement from this course as well beacuse it has computer science. I get to know about his course by my school physics teacher .the time for exams are enough and the difficulty level is easy for those who has prepared for any entrance exam .

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently a second year student in ARSD and my first year fees was around 15k with sc category and 16k for other category. And in second year my fees is 18930 and it is for every other batchmates and all categories include. There is scholarship available for student which is only open once in a year and not many students get the scholarship , the scholarship amount depend on the student family annual income. many students got a scholarship of 1000 and many of 400 also so it depned on the student academics how good the student is.

Campus Life

3

Our college fest name is tide and It held around at winter time mainly in February. In my college many festivals are also celebrated like in diwali there is diwali mela for shopping. And many more things. You will be able to get all types of subjects books in the library and journals also and it is also very to issue a book no problem for any student. in many of the classroom there are projectors present their which help the students to learn in more digital way .my college has every sports , there is a room where every student can go and issue the sports he or she wants to play for eg like basketball and indoor games as well there is a specific net for badminton. There is volleyball, basketball court and football ground which js very large in area. There are also clubs in the college but it don't affect the student life infact it makes student life more enjoyable and memorable.

Admission

I got this college from an entrance exam called cuet. In which you have to choose your subject according to stream you have studie in 12th. After the cuet result came i applied for the counciling process which is called csas for cuet . In csas you will get option for college list. And according to that list and marks of your cuet you will get addmission in the college. My top priority college was hansraj college of du for CS hons basciallly I wanted to pursue CS hons so that why it was my first priority then st Stephen's in which I applied for bsc physical science with computer science. I also applied for CS hons in the current college I am . But because of marks I was not able to . But I got another course in the same college in second round of csas councelling. And I preferd this college beacuse of its nird ranking at that time was 6th and now it is 5th .

Faculty

2.5

My course faculty means the subject I am learning which are physics , cs , maths . In our first year the physics sir only take 5 class on whole one semester and in second semester physics teacher only takes presentation no teaching to students so I don't like our physics faculty that much .our cs teacher in first sem was the hod of cs department and what he teaches no one knows what he teaches he just come teach and go no student understand anything . Our maths teacher in every sem are good they are always ready to listen every dought of student and they always teach until a student don't understand so our maths faculty are good.the difficult subject I had was A Ge subject which was data engineering and analytics in which the teacher don't teach anything and said us to make presentation of higher level and present in front of examiner.

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

The curriculum of my course BSc honours physics is pretty good and it provides sufficient informations in theory classes and practical labs are maintain good and teachers are actively participate in the practicals with the students to teach them more about this course. The frequency of the timing is difficult I can say that because it has many theory classes and on everyday due to which the students can't focus on the subjects and regular activities other than main course.
