What Students Say
Likes
- The learnings and exposure were great, faculty was top-notch, placement committee was not toxic.
- The accommodation was great as of now as we were in transit campus.
- There are certain webinars taking place every now and then with industry experts, these experiences have been great.
Dislikes
- Placement opportunities majorly came for sales roles, no accountability taken up.
- Food of the mess was not good at all, only a single dish on sunday i.e. Chhole Kulche used to be great.
- The overall night life of the city was not good, people were rude and cabs would hardly take you to the desired places
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum was supposed to be industry-ready, but once you take steps in the corporate you hardly find the education relevant, it definitely can be better and much more hands-on experience projects are required.
Internships Opportunities
Piramal - 50 thousand stipend per month for two months, for a finance trainee role ICICI Lombard - 60 thousand stipend excluding hotel stay etc for insurance roles in various domains Collegedunia - 25 thousand for different roles.
Placement Experience
It definitely can get better, it was good for our seniors and possibilities are there of them being good for our juniors but, macroeconomic factors play a huge role in this, as even US was not able to give the targeted employment which also has a great implication on the Indian job market, can't really blame the student-run body, but it definitely could have been better.
Fees and Financial Aid
267500 - used to be the fees for the trimester 25000 - Hostel and mess charges It increased for the juniors and has been increasing for every year Overall the programme reached out to 18 Lakhs but there are other expenses taking place every now and then.
Campus Life
Overall the campus life was great, it hugely depends upon the kind of people you are living with in the end, the course was great, the coffee was a much needed supporter throughout, things definitely can be improved, but learning by doing is the way.
Hostel Facilities
The meal quality was not good at all, I majorly went to Amritsar, thinking you'd be getting great food, but it totally disappointed me, as too much masala used to be there in food, and that too not good, You could not tell a difference between two dishes. Rooms had all basic necessities, beds , wardrobe and lockers etc, rooms felt like hotels in a way, no complains with the accomodation.
Admission
So I wanted to get into an IIM because of the hype, I didn't even apply to the rest of the private players in the market, as the brand value of IIMs is something that's kind of irreplaceable in India as of now.
Faculty
There were 60 students in a single class on average; the faculty relationship with students was great; they understood the concerns of their students and encouraged them more to gather insights from observations rather than sticking to books. This type of pedagogy was relatively new to me, and I enjoyed it a lot with real-world examples. My best faculty was Mrs. Divya Tripathi Ma'am; her way of teaching and addressing doubts is one I'll never forget.
Interview Experience
Yes, interviews were scheduled one-on-one with the faculties, judging on the criteria of how much one already knows and whether he/she is eager to learn or not. There were no GD's as such. Interview used to be oriented about bachelors education.
