Review as a 1st year student at LPU

The course curriculum here at lpu has improved form the last semester as they are now focusing more and more on practical knowledge and improvement than on theoretical knowledge. They are also teaching the students professional skills right from the first year to prepare them for the opportunities that might come there way.

Lpu offers internship opportunities across all disciplines through short-term and long-term training programs. The Division of Career Services supports students with internship drives and skill development. These internships provide practical exposure, enhance professional skills, and improve employability.

Lpu is known for its placement so no doubt you'll get placed.Recently a student got a placement for 1 crore from MBA department and several other students also got good placements with an average of 60-70 lpa int most of the departments

The course normally costs 80,000 per semester making it 6,40,000 for the whole course. But the university gives scholarship based on an online/offline test called 'lpunst' and the results for the same are out within a week or earlier. I got a scholarship of 40% which made a huge difference .

Events are almost a daily occurance at LPU the most popular one which is encountered by me is One India wherein students showcase the cultures and practices of different states in India. Other events such as music festivals,dance compitions etc are all hosted on a regular basis. Students are involved in all sorts of social groups,clubs and are provided duty leaves for participating.

The hostel is pretty well facilitated,it has a tuck shopof its own where almost everything is available-from snacks to stationary and even skincare ,it has a canteen and kitchen ette which is open until 2a.m. and the food tastes good .the registration for the hostel was quite easy ,I could do it myself without needing any help.

I just applied for SGT University,Gurgaon for the same course but rejected it because of the fee.Even the campus was not much of a sight for the fee,nor did my father approve of the hospitality he was provided so lpu became my final choice as it ticked all the boxes.

The faculty is quiet approachable and ready to help if needed. There is also a mentee-mentor system for the students which is again helping the student to solve any problems faced in the university. The exam system is quiet systematic and normally doesn't have much gap in between due to the continuous CA's .

The night life here is very happening students all gather around in various parks and around the food stalls and spend time together enjoying the moonlight robot park is a pretty famous spot for hanging out with friends during the night. But the girls have to apply for extended leave if they wanna go out of the hostels, in the winters it starts at 7 and in summers it is at 8p.m .
