Likes

With a reasonable fees and the kind of labs and other practical facilities that we have, I think private universities that charges a bomb should take a learning from us.
Have talked about the labs but since enginnering means long hours, we need food to fuel ourselves and for that we have two great canteens.
Placements are getting better and better and better by the day.

Dislikes

There are many contractual faculties hired and they are not where close to the permanent faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our cours looks like being extracted from the real world as everything that is taught here looks like we are having a real world experience. Practicals are often and mind you the course may be same for many universities but ours is made tougher as many other things are also included. Exams twice and that's all as we don't have that seperate tests and all.

Placement Experience

Placements here are not an issue as almost 70-75% students are placed through campus. From Siemens to L&T every company has looked upon us as an institute to look forward for placements. Getting 30-40LPA package is every year's story at VJTI and average stands at 10 lakhs or so.

Fees and Financial Aid

Colleges fees is 85k for most courses apart from CSE. The fees is same for most students but with students from reserved category and top merit holders in state CET gets 40-50% waiver in their fees so their fees somewhere around 50k a year.

Campus Life

In the first half which is odd semesters like 1,3,5, and 7, the main fest organised is Rangawardhan and in the evening semesters its Pratibimba. Sports facilities are awesome here as from cricket and football to indoor recreational facilities, we have all of them in abundance.

Admission

In Maharashtra after IITs and IIIT Pune the best choice in my books will be VJTI. Top scores in CET are the ones who gets admission here. No other entrance or scores are accepted here apart from CET. I am from Thane and the college being close to my place, this was my top choice and I got admissions here.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties were amazing in the first year but now since I am in my third year, I can say quality has come down in the subsequent years. Faculties are strict is student who don't find interest in sitting in the lectures are given a proper payback. So, they are helpful and good for the ones who stays in discipline.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered by this college. Top companies like Tata Motors, Bajaj, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Wipro pari, etc. Average placement for mechanical branch is about 9lpa while that for computer and entc goes up to 15lpa.

My College Life Experience

I Actually don't applied for any other college my preference from first was VJTI only however I do add SPIT on my 2nd preference I don't get rejected I just choose VJTI because it has a great background than any other college also it's location is quite good to get admission students must give an exam name mht cet which is Maharashtra state common entrance test through which they get admission in my course and many other once result is out the admission has to be done through cap round cutoff for my course is between 95-99%+ile depends on various factors like reservation and etc etc overall admission process takes some days but it is worthy...Read More

Detailed and Honest Review of VJTI - One of The Oldest Engineering Colleges in India.

Talking about other colleges I applied for, I registered for JOSAA and CSAB both. Through JOSAA I got the IIT Dharwad, since I got the BS plus MS programm there I regestered for CSAB, through CSAB I secured seat into iiit Bhopal cse. Because it is a newly established iiit, it does have poor facilities. Then through CAP counselling I got seat at VJTI. Then Ieft iiit Bhopal and joined VJTI. Today I think that, the decision taken by me was absolutely right. Apart from this I also applied for IIST Thiruvananthpuram but due to my 12th board score I could not make it. To do engineering in Maharashtra, MH-CET is compulsory and every student here has come that way. Rank of 3000-4500 is enough for general category students to secure admission in VJTI's E&TC branch.
