What Students Say

Likes

All girl college, which means safe environment.
Very good placements, majority of them happen in campus that too.
A lot of societies here which helps you gain experience in different activities.

Dislikes

The size of campus is very small, so that's definitely a minus.
Not a lot to see in terms of pictureable spots.
Not a lot of facilities for sports. No swimming pool, badminton court is outdoor.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is very relevant and makes you industry ready. Although I would appreciate if the subjects were divided better among the semesters. There a room for improvement in teaching methods such as having a better delivery and making the subject interesting.

Internships Opportunities

The college l, along with great placements also offers summer internships every year. In 2023, Uber infact offered 1.6 Lakhs per month just for internships. Apart from that programs such as wes cholar exist which offer opportunities. Microsoft also offers a number of internships in the collegeand is a major recruiting company.

Placement Experience

Great placements, mostly they take place in campus. The average package for my course is twenty nine lakhs per annum and placement percentage is more than 80 percent in campus. Major companies include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

1 lakh fifty thousand were paid initially during admission process including balance fee. Apart from that amount can reach upto nine lakhs by the final semester. There are scholarship programs for pwd students extending upto 2 lakhs.

Campus Life

Innerve: The annual technical festival of IGDTUW's technical departments. Taarangana: The annual cultural festival of IGDTUW. Apart from that there are a lot of mainly student run societies such as zena, the fashion society, Techneeds, as the name suggests, Olympians, the badminton society, Avira, the martial arts society and many more of them. There is a room for improvement in terms of sports facilities and requirement of professional sports faculties.

Admission

I applied to lots of colleges through JAC counselling but went with this ( although I was getting majority of them). I chose this college as it was the only good college( in terms of alumini, placements and reputation) that was Offering me cse and cse ai in the first round itself.

The faculty to student ratio is close to 1 is to eighty in the sense that each class has 80 students and one lecturer at a time. Most faculties are approached through class representatives, not directly when lecture isn't taking place. The exams are moderate to difficult depending on who sets the paper.

Placement Experience:

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.

Placement Experience:

My seniors got placed in the 7th semester and a few in the 6th as well. As per them, the placements are the best compared to all other IPU Colleges. Offers from abroad are too given here. For Computer Related Branch, placements are to 90%. Highest Package has surpassed 1 Cr, and Avg. package is about 8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, average package goes from 5lpa to 10lpa. Highest it has went 84lpa in Amazon so far and can for sure grow in future. 7th semester students become eligible for placement drives and companies like amazon, microsoft, newgen, tcs, ibm, etc are major recruiters here. Around 80% students do get placed but you can definitely be among them by refining your skills and maintaining a good cgpa. I plan to go for off campus placements as well as I'm interested in AI related roles but hoping for even better.

DTU , fun college life , good placements and endless joy

Placement Experience:

The placements are fantastic , many companies like google amazon and FAANG companies come here . Although i cant compare it with top IIT s but still a 25 lakh per annum package in CSE is still remarkable. The placement cell is often influenced by Placement coordinator but then DTU takes action against them and debar them from placements . If one does not get placement in DTU. , the DTU tag will obviously be more than useful in after course placements

Placement Experience:

Placements begin from 3rd year end and go on for the complete 4th year. Companies like ZS associates, google, amazon, juspay etc have visited the campus in the past. Highest package for the last year was more than 1 crore. Avg package is somewhere between 7-9 lpa. 50-60 % students get placemnt from the college including off campus placements. I plan to either start my masters or join a good job if possible as whatever situation arises at the end of my course at this college.

So I applied only through JAC Delhi, and honestly? I didn’t go too deep into applying everywhere else because I knew my focus was fixed on Delhi colleges. I didn’t want to leave the city, and I was only looking at places like DTU, NSUT, IIIT-D, and of course, IGDTUW. I chose IGDTUW ‘cause I was getting a good branch according to my JEE Main rank, and the placement stats looked strong, especially for girls in tech. Other colleges had higher cutoffs for the same branches and I didn’t want to settle for something random or not-CS related. So this was the best option that clicked. Admission process is all through JAC Delhi counselling. You need a valid JEE Mains score, and the cutoffs are different for Delhi and Outside Delhi categories. IGDTWU is for Intelligent Ones!!

CET is compulsory and even JEE Mains rankers between 5-8k rankers are allowed to enter here through central counselling. Admission process was good and rapid too but seats come and go so fast that sometimes, students gets fest of missing out kind of thing.
