Bits Hyderabad Review

The curriculum can be improved to include more courses in physics. Some electives may or may not be acailable depending on the campus you choose so choose wisely. Im pretty happy with my department since the profs are very chill.

Practice school 1 - The summer atter your second year. The company is purely based on your 2-1 cgpa Practice school 2- First semester of fourth year for single degree students or the fifth year for dualites. Dualites can choose to go for 2 semester practice school too.

Students are eligible to sit for placements in their final semester. Our college offers practice school system so theres also an option to get a pre placement offer from the conpany you go to practice school for.

Per semester you can expect around 4 lakhs fees. Every semester it increases by a certain value. For 2024, the total fees for 4 years comes to around 40 lakhs. Scholarship is provided by the institute based on merit. Two types of scholarships are provided, one purely on merit and the other merit cum need.

We have 3 annual grand fests - Atmos (Tech) held in November, Arena (Sports) held in february, and Pearl (cultural) held in april. The library has a vast collection of books. All your course needs and beyond will be sattisfied in the library. It also has a huge collection of fiction and non fiction books for readers to enjoy. We have 6 lecture halls and plenty of classrooms. The lecture halls have caneras installed to access the lectures online. All the halls and classrooms have projectors and ACs. We have tonnes of clubs on campus Technical and Cultural. We also have several departments which control fest activities and assiciations catering to branches.

I could get into several Nits based on my jee mains score, but I got into Bits since its better. I had also applied to IIST since I cleared Jee advanced but missed the seat by 1 person. One has to clear the Bitsat examination to get admitted into bits

We have quizes, assignments /projects, 1 Mid sem and 1 Compre Exam in a semester. The weightage of evaluative conponents is decided by the instructor in charge for the course. All grading is given relative to the course topper. There is no absolute grading. Most of the faculty members are very friendly and approachable at any time.
