The college location is very good nearby Kalighat metro station and Lake mall bus stop
The faculties are very professional and knowledgeable specially our HOD
The college library is very spacious,air conditioned and has collection of a lot books

Dislikes

Toilets are dirty and not maintained needs to be cleaned
The college corridor is very dirty because of piegons
The college is not provide any placement of internship opportunities

I have studied 11th and 12 th in commerce background after that I chose b.com because I wanted to explore more insights of commerce and accounting. B.com is very underrated degree but one who take this seriously can go far in his or her career.Final semester projects prepare you to solve real world problems.

Class Size: 160Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid approx Rs.3500 per semester which totals Rs.7000 in a year . The fees for last year is comparatively low. The college is very affordable but they don't have any financial aids for students.Fees for all students are same. As I mentioned rs 3500 per semester that is all inclusive.additionally approx rs 300 per semester is charged for university examination

Campus Life

The campus life is not that good in this college of one want to simple boring study he or she can join this college. The good thing is the college library which is very spacious and clean . And the collection of the books in the library is great.

Admission

My preference was sivanath sastri college but my marks are not capable of taking admission in sibanath sastri college. That's why I chose to take admission in this college. higher secondary is must for taking admission in this college.

Faculty

There are 5 teachers who are in our department. Our Head Of The Dept was very knowledgeable and experienced his style of teaching is very good. There are internal exams before semester. The question college sets is easy . one who studies regularly can get a good marks.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

Placement Experience:

At our college placements are good and many core companies or finance and IT are here for placements and intenrships as well. Average placements from what I have checked is around 4-5 lakhs per year for B.Com (Hons) students.

SAJC - From The Eye of a Student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Good College

I applied for various other colleges such as Heramba Chandra College, Prafulla Chandra College, Dinabandhu Andrews College, Bidhannagar College, KK Das College. I couldn't make it there because of the new admission process of Calcutta University. I didn't get rejection from any college. In the new process you can apply for various colleges but you can get approval for only one College and if you do not want to get admission in the college. Then you have to cancel the admission and repeat the same process again . As my college is under Calcutta University so it has to follow the university rules and process of admission....Read More

All total are good

There are no entrance exam. Addmission process is very poor . Fees structure is too high compassion other colleges. No library facilities,no cantine, no hostel facilities. No extra tution facility. But the college authorities collect fees all above facilities. Addmission process is easy for player. Charuchandra callage is also know as sports college.that because the collage athletic team , football team, and cricket team is very impressive performance. But the student if he/she introduce himself as a player he/she get no extra facility from college. I want to see college improve there fees structure.
