Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have always wanted to do computer in engineering I chose university because I know several people who studied in engineering from this place and have been well settled abroad. This university is valued a lot by the universities of abroad as well. foreign engineering. They follow the basic protocol, which are provided by each engineering college. as I said that the conduct its exam for 30 marks for that you get one hour to write the paper and the one that happens such a final semester exam for that you get three hours to write the exam. improvement of the curriculum. I would like the university to focus more on the practical knowledge and bookish knowledge.

Placement Experience

2.5

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Fees and Financial Aid

We pay fees semester wise. The odd semester (I.e Sem 1,3,5,7) costs around Rs.1,57,850 inr while even semesters (2,4,6,8) is Rs.1,15,485. There are scholarships provided for sc/st category and even economically weaker sections ( under poor aid scheme provided by GNDU itself ) Otherwise the fees is same for all categories you need to fill form for scholarships to attain them. Besides , Fee concessions for disabled students are also provided.

Campus Life

5

Overall the campus life is amazing. The campus is beautifully made. It is very spacious. The ambience is awesome. the Guru Nanak Dev University Library is a treasure of knowledge, approx 5, lakh books, and journals even digital resources are provided in the library. There are separate reading where people can study while sitting in AC. One of the studies even comprises of the computer, so that people who want to study from computer and follow up with that. the library building is of three floors we have train staff and online catalogues to find the books easily. Besides in each department, students run an official group where they have different clubs, having social clubs, literally club drama club, acting club painting club club, Tech club, it has a lot of impact kiss. It makes them more confident and allows them to present their ideas in front of the world, there are several competitions such as youth fest, which are conducting university.

Admission

I firstly plan to go to abroad and study in engineering from northern Alberta Institute of technology, however, due to the recession in Canada, that time I apply to Gndu as a back up option, I also apply to Thapar University where I got admission in electrical engineering, but since I preferred computer engineering over electrical engineering, so I went for Dev University. For my course, I have to give a university entrance exam and on the way of dance exam, the people were given ranks and the people with higher rank had an opportunity to choose their host from a lot of courses provided by the university according to your choice, it was first come first serve offer. The same course one can get admission by giving JEE exam. I did not get because I had plans of going to so if you get a good ranking change your fee will be less as compare to the fees that I am paying to my college for the course. THE FEES FOR THE JEE candidates IS HALF OF MINE.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty to student ratio is nearly 2:5 . The faculty is extremely flexible and friendly one can easily approach them on call or in person regarding their doubts. I like most of the CET faculties especially Er Avneet Kaur because of her unwavering support, and perfect guidance on their subject. As such there has not been any faculty that I didn't like but I must mention that manufacturing practices lab teachers should be a bit more considerate towards other students. so basically in a single semester, you have to give exam the first mid semester exam which are of 30 March and last is end semester exam which are of 70 marks. They both sum up to making hundred marks and in case there are some practical subject, practical marks are also counted. The exams are easy enough to score well marks. In case you study every day, however, some difficult subjects like , mathematics, physics , mechanics, basically engineering has many students. The course is pretty much relevant.

In Chandigarh University you are being elligible to sit in the placement from the end of the 6th semester . A large no. of companies visit the unversity daily for all type of departments talking about my department , companies like Zopasmart , JTG , EY , JP Morgan , TCS , Cognizant , Deloite and many other companies came for the college comapnies with ann average comapny selected upto 10 -12 students . Till now the highest package offered is 37 LPA for the role of software developer . Talking about the no. of students placed from the total students in the batch i would say less then 30% percent of the total students have been placed from the university campus placements till now . Curently i am also focusing on the campus placements to get a start to know more about the corporate world , If i am unable to get a campus placement the i ll go for offline interviews and spends 4 to 5 years in the field after that i ll start my own buisness .

The tempo is always going here strong as academics are strong and tough too. We don't get much breaks or vacations inbetween the semester and even guest faculties invitation and their lectures are also amazing. So upstick in academics is always here and extra bit of things are there in our academics.

There are many campus placements in my college. Students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester, and major companies start coming during 7th and 8th semesters. Major reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant and Accenture visit the campus every year and offer good number of job to students . The highest package of my college is 3.5 cr. The average package for CSE students ranges between 4 to 6 LPA depending upon the company and students skill. Profile offered include software developer, data analyst.A good percentage of eligible students get placed every year as the university provides proper training, mock interviews, and skill development programs. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good placement through campus recruitment. Later I may also consider for showing higher studies.
