Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is really precise and appreciative . Every subject is carefully chosen and right placed in each semester . In first year you just study the subjects of all branches irrespective of our own branch so everyone just get an overall zist of engineering and you get to study your branch specific subjects from second year onwards . There is usually 1-1.5 months before MST and 2 months before EST . In between there are sessionals .

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportunities start from second year with stipend around 25000 though it increases as per experience . You need you have a strong grip on DSA . It would be cherry on cake if you know full stack web development with a good set of projects and leetcode rating .

Placement Experience

4

In 2nd year you get the chance for internship and it just increases from third year onwards . On campus placements happen from 7th semester as per my knowledge . Companies that visit most often are JP Morgan Chase and co . , Amazon , Paytm etc. placement stats depend upon your branch . Like in COE there are approx . 1000 students , so only around 200 would get good placements . Branches in which no. Of students is less , placement stats are comparatively higher . Highest packages have even gone as far as 50 lakh . The lowest could go to 3-4 lakhs . My plans after getting the degree is to join a company as a full time software engineer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee- 459000? Admission fee-30000? Development fee- 104000? Students' activity and welfare charges-15000? Exam Charges-6000? Medical and Insurance charges-1000? Total fee without hostel-595000? FN/NRI category: Tuition fee- 15400$ Developmental fee-4000$ Students' activity and welfare charges-480$ Examination charges-70$ Medical and insurance charges-50$ Total- 20000$ Scholarships- 1. Campus Life

4.5

There are many events that happen on campus . Example - Event X , Mudra night , saturnalia , izhaar etc. Libarary is just amazing . There is so much vast collection of books and so much seating capacity . I just sit there and study in a focused environment during my exams. The sports complex is amazing as well . We literally have the facility of all sorts of popular sports you can imagine . There are so many societies and clubs you can join like ACM , CSS, MLSC, Toast masters , TAAS , youth united , dance club , mudra etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Actually hostel I is the oldest for girls though the infrastruce is old but it is literally the best as per ventilation and openness and even it's mess is the best . New hostels like hostel Q and Hostel A might seem attractive from the outer look of them but there is a lot of problem of fungus as they are built near the nirwana park and there is lot of moisture and humidity . The mess is managed by Sodexo .

Admission

I wanted to join IIT dhanbad petroleum engineering in the first preference . IIT kanpur pharmaceutical engineering in the second preference but I could not make it there as I lacked 4 marks to clear the cutoff to apply for counselling . So I chose TIET as it is one of the best private colleges in India for engineering . I got the top branch here so I just went along .

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is good . We have different faculties for different departments for the same subject like professor is someone else and then tutorial teachers and lab teachers are different , they also have their respective PhD students as assistant teachers whom we can contact as per our problem . Faculties have specific student visiting hours in their offices . Exams include MST , EST , sessionals (quizes and lab evals) . You just have to score 70/100 to get A- and A in most subjects . So if u attend classes and solve pyq's then you are God to go for a 9+ cgpa .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience
