Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I would say that my course is on Average level why because it have some defaults like they don't let students select their General Elective and Ability Enhancement Course as per their choice. These are extra subjects added in a students curriculum. We can say that this helps us in some way as it also includes Skill Enhancement Course and Value Addition Course which allows us to choose subjects other than our core subjects like I have history but in these subjects I can study subjects other than history and gain extra knowledge for the outter world, this helps students in real world knowing things of different subjects and of defferent knowledge. The teaching method is different from that of schools but it is good. Exams comes in every 6 months ending one semester and it provides an average time period for the preparation too.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I joined the college I paid 15630 rupees in my first year and as I have Bachelor of Arts it comprises 3 different combinations in it which is History+Political Science, Economics+Maths and English+Psychology all three combinations students paid the same amount as they paid for the same course. In second year the fees was 16825 rupees and now I'm in third year and I have paid 18115 rupees for my course.

Campus Life

4

My college campus is good though as I get a nice Library there and also a Cafeteria for having my meals and fun with my friends. We have Fests of defferent societies in my college and also the Annual fest of the college. Mostly I get my books available in the Library easily sometimes I had to struggle for that in rare cases. There are sports events too in my college which includes intra and inter department competitions and even teachers of different departments have sports competition in my college. In my college there's ABVP as a student run council and Student Council of Aryabhatta which runs for the betterment of students and helps students in all their academic problems or Social problems they are facing in college.

Admission

Hi selected Aryabhatta because this was the first college I got in the first round and when I went for the Orientation I found the campus area and the campus environment very nice which somehow influenced me for having this college. I also, opted for Sri Venkateshwar College but because I got Aryabhatta first and found it nice place for my academic studies I decided to Freeze Aryabhatta. As I didn't moved on to other colleges so I didn't got the rejection practically. After my selection I recieved a message for document verification which I did first online and than offline in college.

Faculty

2

I'm from BA PROGRAM with a combination of History and Political Science. Mt experience with the faculty members is not that good like there are some faculty members who are very arrogant mainly the Library staff and the Administration staff. I'm telling this because whenever students try to seek help from them they just shout or reply in arrogant tone and don't even provide the correct solution for students. There will be exams per semester and it would vary as per different courses like in my course there are two major subject, one minor subject, one General Elective, One Ability Enhancement Course,One Skill Enhancement Course and one Value Addition Course so that makes a total of 7 exam for a semester. I will not say that the exams are very easy but they aren't that had to clear if one will study correctly and with full efforts the exams would not seem impossible to them. Most of the students clear their exams and it's very rare of students to fail the exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
