Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Exam difficulty level is moderate, there were some failures but personally I would blame the student not the course of faculty, the course was very much relevant to the industry which you realise while you are working, while other students take time to adapt or stress out, we are just going on about it as if it were our daily routine

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There are no internships offered but in the third year we can go on internships on our own, if we want and attendance exemption shall be given accordingly. This was mainly useful for CA students who wanted to go join articleship

Placement Experience

5

Students of third year get to sit for placements, average package can be 350000 pa and the highest was 600000 pa, almost everyone who sat for placements got placed as the course chosen was such that the preparation was at ultimate level. We had many companies like Capgemini, EY, Accenture, the big 4s etc. I am right now pursuing Chartered Accountancy and planning to continue with that

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for the first year was 82000 and then increased to 86000 for second and third year, the fees for B. Com honours was about 1 lakh rupees per month. There are no scholarships that are announced but you get concession in fees if you are a roman Catholic christian

Campus Life

5

There are fests going on all round the year. The campus had 2 huge libraries which run into literally floors and has almost all sorts of books and journals, sports is almost non existent but extra curricular activities relating to academics and intercollege fests are more.

Admission

Admission was based on board exam merit and admission process is smooth too without any unnecessary processes, I could not get into SJCC as my marks were below the cut off point, moreover i was happy with Christ as the religious based differences during admission was almost non existent here, unlike SJCC. Christ is strict and makes u disciplined, so the shift from college life to work life isn't much of a difference but the same was not the same when I enquired about it from friends of SJCC

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are friendly and some are strict, i have personally not encountered any bad faculties, they were all knowledgeable and always entertained doubts, cannot reveal names of faculties for my own safety, we had 2 exams every semester so that was 4 exams every year and the portions were according to industry standards and more based on actual real world knowledge

Other Applied Colleges

St. Joseph's College of Commerce - [SJCC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] (Strategic Finance)

My marks were below the cut off level and so i did not get any admission here

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.
