What Students Say

Likes

There is a plethora of diverse cultures and languages.
There is a lot of explorability and you are given the freedom to explore as much as you want.
Excellent faculty for learning and you are given a vast library for all your needs and a reading room.

Dislikes

Hostel quality can vary drastically some of them are good but others are left with very poor maintenance especially the toilets
The campus being exceptionally large makes it difficult for people to easily travel
Management doesn't do their job sometimes, we are lacking facilities for the courses we really need

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very thought out and relevant. You can tell some people really thought about his because all these subjects can be really helpful in my career moving forward. It is also compulsary to do Internships.

Class Size: 27Course Fees: INR 3000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of of our course goes like this, the Registration & Processing fees are 200 there is a matriculation fee of 25 and a University development fund of 1000 and a study material and handling charges of 1200 and the tuition fee is 7,500 which brings the total upto 9,975.You can pay it in two installments and the fees are increasing year by year.

Campus Life

There are a lot of things to enjoy mainly there are some kind of festival or celebration every month, mainly Onam, Pongal Ganesh Chaturthi etc.. there is also an option to play sports like Basketball, cricket, football etc... There are also Political parties around like ABVP and SFI

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room is pretty decent, you are given enough space to make your own. Meal quality can vary from mid to bad. Very rarely do we have food that is really good. The process of getting Registered into Hostel is also pretty straightforward.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

I applied for few colleges near my hometown mainly Mahatma Gandhi college but I dropped out of that since I got placement Karnataka University and I dropped that when I heard I got placement in Pondicherry University because I have heard it is the best option out of all of these.

Faculty

Faculties are really friendly once you get to know them. Especially one Karnan Sir who has a very cheery personality. However some of them have really unapproachable personalities, it is really mixed. The exams are not that hard to clear by themselves but sometimes schedules will be so hectic that it maybe difficult to find time to do anything.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am not impressed any curriculum of that college. That is girls college,feel free so only I choose that college. Otherwise curriculum is good. They give more teaching methods that is very helpful for dull students.

"Pondi is the best"

Placement Experience:

Among the ten semesters of the complete course after 4th year (7-8 semester) we are eligible for campus placements. The average package for students from company is almost 5 lakh per annum. 10 percentage among the students are only getting placements. After completing degree and post graduation I want to increase my teaching skills and want to move forward based on that.

Pondicherry University is recognised by the UGC and is accredited with an grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
