Likes

There is no compulsion of 75% attendance and the faculty are really chill about it.
Fees structure is affordable compared to the other private colleges
College is really helpful and lenient for the projects and stuffs

Dislikes

Teaches can be better and more helpful it seems they do not have depth knowledge about the subject
Bathroom is really untidy and dirty and there is no filtered water available in the college
No alumni is there to connect and make connections

Course Curriculum Overview

The college doesn't provide any internship or real life experiences. We have to find are own internship The course computer science engineering itself was a good course but the college doesn't prepare you for that. If you walked this college then basically you are your own hero and you have to learn your own skills.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a batch of 2021-25 and my fees structure was altogether 400000 rupees first semester it was 85000 and rest seven semesters were balanced accordingly. Every semester before the exams we have to pay 1200 rupees for exam form in the official MAKAUT WEBSITE. The fees might have increased a little bit for the upcoming batches as the college was renovating and was about to be autonomous for better placements in the future. Fees might decrease a little bit if you have any reservations or fall under the EWS catered. The college also accepts various scholarships and cooperates with it.

Campus Life

The annual fest are held in college in the month of March or April, in which there is a tech fest and others or cultural fest programmes are also held occasionally during Saraswati Puja and others. Sports competitions are also held in college in which football and badminton or also there. Other competitions like quizzes and codind Round is also held and filmmaking photography and many others short activities like this

Admission

I choose this college because it was near my home and attendance was not compulsory there. I apply to one or two colleges but the problem was distance and fees also because this college was kind of affordable and I was a Little Low on budget. I didn't even attempt any government exams like JEE or WBJEE

Faculty

The college follows Makaut University exam pattern. So there is CA1 and CA2 in which you have to submit PDFs and reports. Most of the time facultie are not even there to teach and make us understand the concepts. So basically we have to study at home only CA3 and is a paper pen mode held in college and CA4 is computerised based which is held in our computer labs.

Placement in our college is descent . Students typically become eligible for campus placement starting from the 5th Semester. For CSE/IT companies like TCS,CTS ,WIPRO, ACCENTURE etc... come for the placements. For Core branches like EE,ECE,ME Companies like L &T ,samsung, TATA Steel etc...come for offers. The highest package is around 8 to 10 LPA and the average is around 4 to 5 LPA. 70% to 80% of RCCIIT generally get placed across varios department. My plan is to persue MS from abroad/.

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from 6th semester ,meanwhile u can also get paid internship from 5th semester itself .The companies which visited the campus most frequently are Cognizant ,TCS ,Infosys ,IBM ,PwC ,BMC ,Tavisca ,Wipro ,Amazon .Tavisca provided over 12 LPA while BMC provided over 14 LPA ,meanwhile in 2024 ,a new record of highest package emerged which is of 21 LPA.The Average package is 480,000 rupee CTC .Over 80 to 90% of students are placed and the college has a very good alumni network which provides u with referrals and possible jobs.I plan to join a IT company after getting my degree

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

Placement Experience:

Placement ratio of the college is very good, cadets start getting placements from 2nd year but majorly the mass placement process starts from 3rd year. The packages ranges from 400-1200 USD as an engine cadet. There are major companies such as CHEVRON, MSC, DYNAGAS, NYK, FLEET MANAGEMENT, PACIFIC BASIN, MOL, IOCL, ZODIAC MARITIME, TORM TANKERS, etc that visit the college for placements every year. For every batch the placement ratio is above 95%. This college is known for its placements and alumni network

In on campus 3 to 4 companies came like Accenture, Cognizant, Capsitech and some startups. So many pooled campus companies were visited at that time. Average package offered was 4LPA. Minimum 60% in 10th and 12th is required to be eligible in the placement drive in most of the companies.

Course in a tough situation

I know Global institute of technology and management college where I started my Btech in mechanical engineering course is one of the great college in west Bengal for Btech but in these period during lock down causes of covid 19 our classes are not going very well. But although teachers are doing there best for teaching us all subjects and they also supporting us all the time. So I thik this will be a new experience with all of this. The admission criteria in my college were:- Candidate must pass Higher Secondary(10+2) examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a Council/Board recognized by the state govt./Central govt. concerned, with individual pass marks(in both & practical wherever applicable)in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Computer Science/Computer Application) having a minimum of 45 % marks in the above subjects taken together(40%for Reserve Category candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks (for all categories of candidates in the said qualifying examination.
