Remarks
To get admission in SurTech (yes it is what now we call in short ) all you need is your diploma markshit. Though they ask you for Jelet you can also get admission through the management quota. But for an easy transition, I recommend you to just have your 10th/Diploma/Jelet certification with you. Oh don't forget to keep a Government-issued identity card with you, Adhar Card is highly recommended.
Course Curriculum Overview
I've completed my diploma program in the Electrical branch and wanted further to increase my knowledge in my core domain as well as gain some skills. B.tech was the right thing to do next. If we talk about faculty members they are good, I mean very good. They actually know what they are doing, most importantly they are available (if they are not having a class or anything important) anytime, if you have doubt ask them and they will do their best to sort it out. If you ask me about ratio, well I never counted them but for each subject, there are around 2-3 teachers are easily available, sometimes more. Teachers are well qualified and have a decent amount of teaching experience. Exam: ahh one of the most difficult and troublesome sessions, well if you didn't pay attention in your class you are done.
Placement Experience
From 7th sems you are eligible for placement but college provides free aptitude test or simply mock placement test from second year and every student is mandatory to attend. Oh also they provide free placement training class so student will get the whole idea around it. As for package, last month (June 2021) a student got 10 LPA package as for lowest it is around 250K LPA. Minimum 80% students do get place in on campus placement. My plan after B.tech is quite simple get a job, crack a govt job if possible.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well, I pay around 35K each semester since I got a scholarship that cover 10K each sem. So basically you need to pay around 45K each sem. Before you ask me about scholarships, we'll its just I completed my diploma from a college that just happen to under JIS group as well. Since both the colleges are under same group, I got 60K scholarship (10k x 6 = 60K)
Campus Life
Each year we have a new name. As for tech fest, the one-sentence summary will be TOUGH. Anyway both the fests are generally organized in the month of March & April. As for library details, they do provide the coursebook. Classrooms are quite spacious if you ask me. There is a sports complex on the College campus so yes they do organize sports fest as well. They are some blog run by students and quite, fortunately, I'm one of them
