Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is good. BA Programme gives us the ability to choose two different subjects and choose what we want to study at the same time. I got to learn both English and History which would not be possible to do so by an English honours student. After my BA Programme, I pursued MA in English. The course did help me in some ways. The Course curriculum and Teaching Methods are all fine and there is no stress for exam or the frequency of conducting internal assessment and end term examinations are executed at the right time.

Placement Experience

5

Students can apply for placement from the first/second semester. Many company has visited the college like Wipro, HDFC, Deloitte, and others. The average package of the college is ? 6 LPA. However, for the BA Programme course, the expected CTC will be 3.5 which is good enough for the freshers. After my graduation, I have pursued MA English from the Chandigarh University, Punjab.

Fees and Financial Aid

During the admission time,nInwent for document verification. They checked all of my documents and gave 1 day to pay the admission aka the first year fee of about ? 13,000. After the fee payment, my admission is confirmed. The duration of the course is 3 years and the total fee of BA Programme about ? 40,000. Fees are paid annually. No other fees or miscellaneous are charged. Every student pays the same amount of fee. Fee concessions can be availed from the college providing the income certificate.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is really good. There will be someone with whom you can sit together in class, study together in the library, talk with an unknown friend in the ground, play with friends in the playground and eat something together with friends in the canteen. There is the North East Cell for PGDAV Morning and a group for evening that holds the North East Festival in the college every year.

Admission

I choose only this college and I am really satisfied with it. There is a cut off system during my time. I got admission during the third cut off. The admission is based on the class 12 score. The percentage of best four subjects including one language paper was the basis.

Faculty

5

The faculty to students ratio of the BA Programme has a variation of 1:10 to 1:40. The variation is due to the subjects opted by the students has difference. In our environment class, there were more than fourty students but when I studied History as a MIL in graduation 1st year (North East students can opt for alternative MIL that is History as MIL instead of learning Hindi), there were only two of us. And, for the BA Programme subjects like English and History, there were about 30 students each. All the faculties are so good and I miss all of them because they are like our parents and they teach us what they all know. They care for our overall mental, physical and financial help. The semester system course has the component of internal mark (25 marks) and external exam (75 marks). The internal assessment has 10 marks for assignment, 10 marks for test/presentation and 5 marks for attendance. And the semester exam is of 75 marks. The difficulty level of the exam is medium.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
