Likes

The placement cell of vit is really strong, which is good
The circular is practical and up to date , like we don't have subjects like physics and chemistry instead it is focused on coding etc
Clubs of vit are good and really active , which is good

Dislikes

The college campus is really small , like it's just two buildings
The area is really bad , it is situated in a slum type area
There is no hostel inside campus and the one which is out side is also bad

The curriculum is good and practical, it is really good for preperation of real world as they train you for placement. Teaching methods are up to date as they are using new teaching methods like labs etc

The fees students is divided over 4 years , with each year instalment being 191554 , tution fees being 162608 , development fees being 24392 , exam fees 2200 , and universitie fees 2354. Total being 191554

Campus Life

There are three events happening in vit , namely vishwatechspectra being the main tech feast of vit , second vishwakarandak being the sports feast having all sports events of vit , Vishawautsav being the cultural event of vit , Taking about the culbs are really active and fun .

Admission

I was really pursued to take this college over the one in nagpur due to the city factor, as pune is better and bigger, also the college is really practical based over other colleges, also I heard that the teachers are realy good while taking addmission so I took vit over the other colleges.

Faculty

They help us in publishing papers and other academic assistance. The course curriculum is based on what its require for the placement purposes and it makes student industrial ready. Semester exams are quite average, the past percentage is nearly 90 to 95% and at least 10 to 20 students get above 9 CGPA.

From 6 the semester students becomes eligible for campus placement. In 2025, Capgemini has visited our college and also the Many more They helped us for getting internship in 8th semester also. As out batch is of 2024 Covid batch there has been no such placement occurred but after that the ratio has increased

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
