Course Curriculum Overview
I was influenced to take this university and this college just because I was out of options ,it is not a dream college. It just provides us the bare minimum and a degree. Teachers try to conduct seminars and workshops and a placement team is made. Passing marks of 50% should be reduced as it is difficult for a average student to pass with this high passing percentage in an engineering college. Exams are conducted with irregular timings Difficulty level is hard to medium.
Internships Opportunities
Interships are to be done individually, professors recommend names of specific internships. Projects are done in internships in a 6 week basis. Students are asked to find their own interships and certificates are to be submitted to the respective departments.
Placement Experience
Placements are not good since post COVID. A very less amount of companies are willing to come to our university. From 6 th semester students are eligible for placements. Companies visited are TCS, tata Wipro etc Highest package in 2024 was 10lpa Average package in 2024 was 4 lpa 50% students were placed in 2024 My plans after this is to get into MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for btech 1st year is 56000 Fees for btech 2nd year is 54000 Fees for btech 3rd year is 53000 Fees for btech 4th year is 52000 There are 3 branches in btech 1. Computer science and engineering 2. Electronics and communication engineering 3. Agriculture engineering All the 3 have the same fees. Prices for sc/st for hostel fees is 50% less Scholarships can be taken from govt. Scholarship schemes like National scholarship portal(NSP), DHE. Exam fees is also 50% less for sc/st students.
Campus Life
Annual festivals are 1. Cultural night 2. Dj night 3. Ethnic fest 4. Sports week All kinds of books are available in the library, the library is quite big and spacious. Classrooms have smart boards, projectors. Sports are conducted in a while by the union members. Students run the core committees like science club, rotary club etc
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are pretty basic. Meal quality is average and the menu consists of chicken, dal, rice , fish , egg on a weekly schedule basis. Registration for hostels is done every once in a year. Hostels seats are less so every cannot get a hostel seat Seats are given on the basis of merit and distance from home. Pgs and rents are available nearby.
Admission
I applied for Nits and some good enginnering colleges but failed to get a seat in those. This university is basically a backup plan for most of the students with average marks. It is easy to get into this university. I didn't make it to other universities because of my low percentile in JEE mains. Admission process is through JEE councelling and csab round 2 students basically get into this university. With a percentile of 85+ you can get into cse With a person of 70+ u can get into ece And with a percentile of 60+ u can get into agriculture
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good. Faculty to student relationship depends on the student on how he/she is interacting with the teacher. Faculties can take grudge on you if u are working according to them. Exams are basically not that tough but marks are given according to how u are to the teacher. Passing marks is 50% so it is quite difficult. 40% students fail to pass in hard exams.
Other Applied Colleges
Central Institute of Technology - [CIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
The location and placement was worse than the current University I am studying in.
