Likes

The college is pretty good compare to other colleges in our state but it can get better.
The college life is good, the batchmates and seniors were good. The social life is also great.
The faculties of my department were good but some them were crikey sometimes especially HOD of my department.

Dislikes

The college infrastructure, it is build on a mountain slope. Sometimes it feels like we are hiking while going out of campus.
The social life is great but there is differentiation in K-cet students and PESAT students.
The attendance criteria is not good, sometimes they call parents if you don't complete the criteria

Course Curriculum Overview

I've chosen these courses because in the counselling I was getting this course only. The course is very much relevant to the real world applications and higher education. I don't think the curriculum requires any changes but the teaching methods can be improved like the materials provided during course etc.,. The exams are conducted every 1 and half month so there is lot of time for preparation.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 110000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yeae wise fee through KCET was 110000 for my batch. The tution fee was 50k, other fee were 60k. The fee for PESAT students was around 330k for my batch. There were scholarship for students who scores 9CGPA in the exams. It was around 30k.

Campus Life

The name of annual feast is Atma Trisha (AT), it is held in the month of March or April. The library has all kind of book and ebooks, you can get access to various journals by going to the library website. The facilities and technological provisions are top standard. There are intra and inter college sports competitions in which you can participate. There are various kind of clubs varied from dance to coding everything. They hold various kind of events every year.

Hostel Facilities

The facilities provided in hostel room are bed, table, chair and cupboard. There are 3 kind of messes in the hostel veg, non-veg, and mixed. The mixed mess is south indian, most of the student didn't like it including me. Registration is done when you go for admission process, some people can afford it but some people preferred PG or room near the college. There are various PG near the college.

Hostel Fee: INR 130000 per year

Admission

I didn't apply for any other colleges. The admission process for k-cet is same for every college. The cutoff for my course at my time was 15k(OBC category). The admission was smooth but they didn't tell about all the process before hand so there were some problems but they resolved it.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. The faculties are good if you are a good student and they are easy to approach. The faculties I like was Rekha Ma'am, Kaustuv Bhowmik sir, Vamsi Krishna sir. They were good at teaching and easy to approach. The faculties I didn't like were Prajisha and Anuradha ma'am. There are 3 exams, 2 ISA's and 1 ESA. In our branch 10-20% students were not able to pass the exam. The curriculum is very much relevant to real world jobs.

Placement Experience:

In this clg the placement are pretty like 50-60 percent only because the total students in our engineering there are 2500 students. The eligibility criteria for campus is 6.5 cgpa but in our only 1400 students will be eligible for campus placement. In 1400 there will be 650 -700 student get placed.

The scene of placement is good here. Companies visit and offer on campus placement. College also train us for interview round . The highest package offered here last year was 51 lakh per annum. Average package is around 6 lakh per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

My Real Experience as a First Year DSAI Student at IIIT Dharwad

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Though i needed cse with cybersecurity but i didnt get it so i went with Robotics and ai. In first year they have many subjects of all course which are basic and fundamentals of all branches Some are good in real world application They should add more practical stuff then theories We have 1 to 1½ month gap betwen internals and some 10 days gap between 2nd internal and sem difficult level varies every year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose electronics and communications wholeheartedly. Since my childhood, I was very interested in electronics and very humble in learning new topics in digital electronics. I was never a coding guy, so I took electronics and communications as my course. It was an easy choice for me. So class's average strength is around 65 to 70. And the faculty: student ratio is quite good. The teachers are well qualified and most of them are doctorate holders. The timetable is arranged in a manner such that there is smooth conduction of classes for all-year students. The exams are semester wise and there will be internals every month. Questions are better, you have to know little bit contents taught in classes and also from textbooks. It is easy to pass.

Life in PESU

Except PESU I applied for MCC banglore, MSRUAS banglore, Chanakya University banglore and Reva University banglore and got offer letter from all the 4 universities. I choose PESU over the other universities considering fee structure, infrastructure, curriculum, importance give to extra curricular activities, proximity to main parts for the city etc. The admission process in PES is quite simple, first we have to fill an application form, then we will be having an interview. Once we get qualified in the interview we will be asked to pay the seat blocking fee. Then after few weeks we can pay the pending amount later will have to go to the university for documents submission.
