Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is based on AICTE courses and I like mechanical engineering that's why I have choosen this course. 75% attendance is mandatory for every student otherwise you have to face the consequences that have written in rules book.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 46886 per year

Internships Opportunities

I know only for mechanical engineering that company that offers internship is NRL, OIL, IOCL, Railways, ITC (paid internship), and many more that you will get but you have to try to get all the internship.

Placement Experience

College placement is not much as per expectation but half of the students who tried they have placed in several companies many recruiters are BEL, OIL, NRL, L&T, ALSTOM, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, AKASH, GULF....etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure per semester is 26943 including hostel fees. Only bpl card holder can avail the scholarship per semester in every department of engineering and my batchmate fees is same as my fees. Sc/st have fee waiver in hostel fees.

Campus Life

My campus life meet as per my expectations and here you will learn many things about india's culture and many more things. Club involvement is average, 4-5 club are excellent and rest are average. infrastructure is good.

Hostel Facilities

Room consists of two students with two loced wardrobe, two chairs and two tables. Mess food is average but many students who come from north part of India they will face the problem of not serving roti in mess food at any time in a day.

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

College have large area and greenery in the whole campus that assured you to get healthy environment and in the north-eastern part of India it is one of the best universities after IIT Guwahati and nit Silchar.

Faculty

Faculty is as good as you can learn and understand the subject. I am in mechanical engineering so in my department there are 20 faculty members are there who teaches various part of engineering. Exams are in 4 parts moderate levels.

Great college with decent infrastructure and a large campus

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute.The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.

Overall good university which offers good internships and placement.

Placement Experience:

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Tezpur University review

I applied for different nits but couldn't get any because my jee mains percentile was little low , i applied for GFTIs like Assam University and Tezpur University, I got seat in both of them but I chose Tezpur University because it was far more better then Assam University both in terms of academics and infrastructure. A look at TU for MBA program

TU is a central government university and the ambience is majestic out here. I personally like the university very much as it creates such a bond, you would have memories forever.
